Sears Limited Edition A Bug's Life Plush Set

When Disney/Pixar released A Bug's Life in theaters in 1998 Sears released a set of A Bug's Life plush characters that were free with a Sears purchase and consisted of four characters that were released every week in November and consisted of the following characters,
1. Flik
2. Heimlich
3. Princess Dot
4. Princess Atta
Another thing to note is that they appear to be Christmas themed plush characters and wear Christmas clothing. Was this plush set originally a Sears Black Friday doorbuster in 1998? I remember becoming a fan of A Bug's Life and these plush characters were my first A Bug's Life merchandise ever. Is the complete set of plush characters rare to find of Pixar merchandise?
