Is there such a thing? Looking for a time where the crowds are lower and the weather is warm, but not unbearable (thinking 80s). We have been in Sept. (really hot), Oct. (not bad, but variable) and Dec. (cooler). While I LOVED the holiday decorations in Dec., it was a little chilly. We live in NH and when I go to FL, I really like to escape the cooler weather. I would love to hear if there are warmer times to go when the crowds are not unbearable.
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
There are two times that we really enjoyed, that were lower crowds, yet great weather.
The week of Mother's Day in May. Warm, but not too humid.
The week BEFORE Thanksgiving. The Christmas decorations went up while we were there, about the second day, and it was beautiful!

Have fun planning!

Thanks so much for your response. We went Nov. 30th-Dec. 11th this past year and the weather was nice, but not what I would consider warm. I am wondering if the week before Thanksgiving would be any better, but if it is, being able to see the decorations is bonus. Week of Mother's Day sounds nice.

Anyone else????

November is hit of miss weather wise and no way to tell if it will be in the 60's or the 80's

October is a great time to go with the food and wine, and the weather is ussually more towards the warm side

May, October and December are our favorite times to go. :goodvibes December can be on the cool side and is unpredictable.

Have you considered end of Feb/beginning of March?
We've been there a few times during President's week in February, and have had warm (80's) swimming weather every time....with a day or two of cooler (high 60's low 70's in between). It's a gorgeous time of year.

How are the crowds in May? Are they pretty manageable the whole month or are there times to avoid?

We were there the last week of May 2008 and found the crowds very manageable. The evenings cooled off some and I preferred a lightweight jacket. We were in the pool every day and had rain only briefly one afternoon.

We'll be headed down the first week of May this year and are hoping for much the same.

As far as my experience,
Week before Thanksgiving week, great crowds, but 1st (2006) year the temperature never reached 70, usually high 60 low 45, there were officially snow flurries reported one night in Orlando. Next year (2007) was Perfect, High 80 low 60 every day!
I've done April 1st about 5 years ago and had a high of 55 (Asheville, NC got 1" of snow that night! If it makes sense a major system even gave Miami their "lowest high temperature" on record)

I think you are most guaranteed warm/hot temps May-Sept or October IMHO You really set yourself up for possible disapointment going Nov-April

I, too, expect to be warm in Fla!

I think you are right. May-Oct. is the best bet for warmer weather. I just want to make sure I don't go during a time when crowds are at a peak either.

Glad I am not the only one who likes to be warm when they vacation in FL.
I would like to leave my hat and mittens here in NH :)

You could always try the last week in JAN through the first week of Feb. You might actually like the weather and the people!!!:rotfl2:

We have done 4 Thanksgiving trips and this past one was really cold. I mean record breaking temps cold. Matter of fact we are leaving on Monday and the temps look better for Jan. than when we were there in Nov. We have gone in may twice and that was not bad....although even in May it can get really warm. I think if you go in March or April you are going to see more crowds with the spring breaks/easter holiday breaks. Maybe between Mother's Day and Memorial Day????

Thanks for your input. My BIL and SIL are heading down today. Looks like you are heading down there too. Have a great trip!

Thanks....yes we are. We looking forward to going and we know several families that are going to be there or are already there. Should be a great week. :goodvibes

We were there in May last year, we arrived on Mothers Day. That was an awesome week to be there. We walked on almost every ride. I think the longest we waited the whole week was like 10 minutes. I do remeber it was in the high 80s low 90s that week so April may be more ideal. To me it was hot in the parks in the afternoon but the mornings and evenings were perfect.

We go in May (first or second week) and October every year and love it for both the weather and low crowds. ::yes::
