The gang are:
Me, Andrea ,38 planner, worrier - 'I just think I will check that again'
DH, Chris, 44 driver,porter,waiter.etc...'did you say food & drink festival?'
DD, Meg, 10, loves a guy from HSM, amongst others! want to go to a 'mall'
DD, Mimi, 5, 'pink' crown firmly in place. wand in hand
Today we woke up early, when I say early I mean early. We were up, showered and dressed by 5.30 am
some problem with internal clocks and all that, coupled with just a little excitement.
hey guys we are here!
We had a wander around the resort and got some breakfast from Pepper Market. Oh did I forget to mention WE ARE ON FREE DDP.
After chowing down we caught a bus to EPCOT. Arriving at 8.40 , and we got to see the opening ceremony.
I must admit at this point: to a tear in my eye, at being back. ok mushy stuff over.Time to 'make out like bandits' to 'soarin' before the herd follow.
Soarin' is excellent!
this was followed by circle of life and Living with the land, which i love! Sad that Cranium command is seasonal
we then headed over to the seas with Nemo and turtle talk with crush which was amazing. This one kids said his name was Weston so crush asked if he had a bro called Easton. So clever.
It started to rain so we headed back to CSR around 12.30 kids wanted to go swimming.
After swimming for a while the heavens opened, so I brought 2 ponchos. Why did I only buy 2 when are are 4 of us?? I always do that sort of thing!
We changed and headed back to EPCOT around 4.30.
As Mimi is a big dinosaur fan we headed to Universe of Energy. She loved it.
we had an ADR for Coral Reef at 6.30. arriving early we were told there was a wait. DH was getting annoyed and begining to trash the DDP. We finally got seated at 7.10 pm. we had a great view of the tank and the kids loved it. however Mimi was cold. Our served was very helpful, as our eldest DD is 10 and therefore had to choose from the adult menu and she subtituted fries with her main ( she reminded us all holiday that she was now an adult
) The lighting was poor, so food photos did not come out well but here are a few in Coral Reef.
really enjoyed our meal and DH, was singing DDP praises by the end. I did visit the ladies on the way out and they were in a shocking state. That was quite disapointing as I don't expect uncleanliness anywhere in WDW
We left CR about 8.15 and headed over to see Illuminations. We reached Mexico and I spied the frozen Margherita stall. I dispatched DH to purchase one for me. He asked me what flavour and I waved him away as he should know by now, right Ladies?
Instead of getting a 'normal' flavour, he got me kiwi and it was weird. I quite like Kiwi but not as a flavor in a drink. Still I managed to drink it
Illuminations was excellent as per usual, I spent quite a bit of time trying to get the setting right to take some firework photo's . here are a few they are not great and I did have a guy with a moosive head stood right in front of me! and that kiwi drink was kicking in!
We exited with the other 399,000,000,000 people. and manged to squash onto the bus. I think those busses are a bit like the tardis. you join the end of your bus queue and think you won't get on that one or the next, and yet we all fitted on. amazing.
Tomorrow : Animal Kingdom
