Me, Andrea ,38 planner, worrier - 'I just think I will check that again'
DH, Chris, 44 driver,porter,waiter.etc...'did you say food & drink festival?'
DD, Meg, 10, loves a guy from HSM, amongst others! want to go to a 'mall'
DD, Mimi, 5, 'pink' crown firmly in place. wand in hand
Our last day, boohoo. we drove to DTD and had no problems with DTD check-in. only took 10 mins. We then hedead to AK as there were a few things we wanted to do before leaving. first up was breakfast Pizzafari.
Then over to the Lion King and then Nemo the musical.
We left AK and headed for DTD. Chris took the car back to Grosvenor and me and the girls had am ice cream at Ghiradelli's.I told Amelia not to get any down her as we did not have a change of clothes, and guess what, she proceeded to tip the whole of her ice-cream all over herself. I was not happy
I wiped the excess off and she had to walk about with brown choc ice-cream stains on her.
We had a wonder around DTD and headed for our pick-up at 4pm. No problems at airport, through security - a lot quicker than Gatwick. We did a bit of shopping and duty free and wandered over to our gate, which was empty. Strange I thought, and then the Virgin reps at the gate asked if we were the ****** family as we were the last to board
. fortunatley we were not too late and met the tail end of the queue at the door!
We have never been the last to board before.
Flight home was uneventful. I got some sleep. We landed on time and DH drove home. Which forever as he had to keep stoping for coffee to keep himself awake.
Reflections!
We had the best holiday, almost everything was perfect. We loved the free DDP, but would not do DDP again, as we seem to be timetabled by food most days. We have some great memories and fab photo's and I have loved sharing with you
.I am now busy scrapping our trip, and I can't wait until we can afford to go again.
A big thank you to everyone on the dis, as I am sure the tips/planning and help made our trip extra-special!
