I am moving into a new house in several weeks and took a final walk-through today. Everything looked great, but rooms were a bit smaller than I remember. I thought I was all set, visualizing where beds, etc. will go. THEN, duh...my dd14 has a queen size bed (thanks Santa), and not the twin I was remembering..

SO now I need room planning software to see if I can make the bed work in the room..

Just googled house floor plans & came up with two that appear to be free:

floorplanner.com
smartdraw.com

Smart move - my DH gifted me with punchsoftware years ago when we thought about building. Ended up with a previously owned home in another state, but it was still helpful to plan furniture placement ahead of time insofar as what to move.

I imagine the movers appreciated that everything had its place, rather than me doing last minute "Wait, can you move that 3 ton armoire to the other wall instead?" LOL

heres one from a furniture store that I was searching around on.

DD15 wants to get rid of her build a bear loft bed, so i was shopping for a bed and nightstand to match the remainder of the set and used the planner to figure out her room set up.
lucky girl your DD is! a queen bed! my DD would love that!.....maybe thats what I will do. I know a queen will fit in her room..... :cutie:
good luck to both or us!
