Sealing a table?

so I have a crappy kitchen table which Ive decided needs some help.So this weekend I started painting it with a tribal design. Well I used Latex and a enamal paint. What would be the best sealer to seal this? Ive never taken on a project like this before, mine have awalys been chairs and so such.

I have no idea because I'm not creative that way, but I think you should read the paint can label, as it may suggest a product.

I have a friend who painted on different surfaces. She bought unpainted wooden furniture for her kids' rooms and painted beautiful designs on them--sunny skies and puffy clouds on her DDs and celestial theme on her son's. She painted a small image of her house on a big flat rock and put in out by her driveway. It was the coolest thing.

I wish I had that kind of talent.

Mine didnt require alot of talent. I did a simple tribal design which was alot of straight lines (so alot of painters tape). I read the cans, they didnt offer me any advice

Clear Shellac.Brush it on with a lint free cloth in even sraight strokes from one end till the other.
