Can we each take a 2-week supply (28 lenses) of daily disposable contacts in our carry-on luggage? Each one is sealed in a tiny amount of some kind of sterile liquid. I'd be afraid to check them, in case the luggage got lost. Solution can be checked, because more can be bought in Publix/Wal-Mart, etc., but replacing the prescription lenses would be hard. Also, there is no prescription on the lenses themselves--would we have to get a duplicate from the eye doctor?

I had no problem bringing sealed contacts and a small bottle of solution (2 oz.?) in my carryon a few weeks ago...

HTH!!! :teeth:

No problem, you are allowed up to 4oz of contact solution, I would assume they fall under this.
If you bring a script with you for the lenses, should you lose what you have, you can replace them very quickly at WalMart. I carry mine with me at all times.

Personally, I'd only carry on a couple day's worth of lenses and check the rest (assuming you are checking a bag anyway.) That way you are covered on the slight chance your checked bags are lost, and while it should be within the rules to bring 28 sealed contancts in carry-on, you never know when a TSA guy is going to make us a rule and say you can't.

Just back from a flight from MCO yesterday and I didn't have any problems with my rewetting drops and contacts in their sealed packaging. Never was questioned.
