has any one heard of a beach called seagrape beach it is on the 7 mile beach and does anyone have any pictures of this place

I like this beach too...very nice and all the amenities you could want. And I got to see it 1 week before Wog did! hee hee

We were there in April. It was very nice. I was with DH, DD6 and 4 mo old baby-- we rented one chair and one umbrella for $15 and it included one bottle of water. The have clean bathrooms and changing room. There was a cleaning person constantly cleaning. We ate there and the food was good, but a bit on the expensive side. We were very hungry after our Stingray/Snorkle excursion and could have ordered less food because the burgers were huge and came with fries. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the pictures! It looks beautiful. :sunny: :sunny: We're going on the Dec 3rd Magic and I'm in the process of researching excursions. Would you recommend this beach over others? I saw Rum Point and Small Smiths Cove Beach listed in my Passporter.

Our criteria is: Clean beach and bathrooms, a cafe, chairs in good repair, soft sand and hopefully, few "sales people". Seafood at the cafe would be a plus.

We went on the Eastern Magic last November and went to Dawn Point Beach on St. Marten. The beach was beautiful and not crowded. The surf was a little rough but all other criteria were exceeded. The cafe served the best grilled snapper and lobster and very tasty drinks as well. DH and I had a nice lunch and watched our DD and DS play in the sand for 3 hours. It was a great day. :sunny:

Thanks for your input!!

We're going on the Captain Marvin's morning excursion. Do you think we'll have time to visit this beach afterward?

Sea Grape will fill your requirements. I do not know personally about Rum Point, but Voss is the Rum Point expert, so maybe she can help. I don't recall any "sales people" roaming the beach. Definitely not like Great Bay beach on St. Maarten.

Kim&Chris - If your excursion gets over in the morning I think they will even offer to drop you at Seven Mile beach on the way back to town. You can spend a few hours there and catch a cab back to the pier. Cabs are plentiful in the afternoon to return everyone.

THANKS FOR THIS INFO!!

Here's another vote for Sea Grape! There's only ONE drawback.... it's on a little bit of a slope and also, the water gets deep rather fast. My little guy (3) was just fine in the shallow area because he doesn't wander. Just be forewarned that the water drops deep quickly. But the sand is pure white and the water is crystal blue. I liked it better than Cozumel. There are also float mats that you can rent.
By the way.... if you don't have plans for Cozumel, those are free at Paradise Beach. The sand is much more course and the water is rocky but there is a lot of fun to be had here! There is a water trampoline, rock climbling island, good food, float mats, paddle boats, lawn chairs, all for $5.00 (not including food).
Have a great time!
