Seafood Buffet Question?

I'm guessing that most buffet places are supplied with frozen product which then goes into pans under hot lights for some period of time.

yeah, but the hot lights are less of an issue if the food turns over quickly (i.e. they put a small amount out at a time and people grab it rather than let it sit there for 10 minutes.)

the scallops at the garden grill might have been gross and rubbery had they sat out but as long as you grab them right when they come out, it's pretty good. on a different night, the results might have been unacceptable.

i agree that buffet seafood will never compare to roastfish and cornbread at hilton head island, for example, but some buffets are managed better than others. and at less than $30 (with the DVC discount) including a stuffed half-lobster, garden grove is an impressive value for the wdw resort area...i really should try the cape may buffet, though...

I really like seafood and appreciate all the DVCer's sharing their thoughts on options in the Orlando area.

Thanks:happytv:
