We are planning our spring 2008 trip and trying to decide about Sea World.

I think we should do it for sure because we have Busch Gardens seasons passes so we'll get 50% off the ticket, and I LOVED it when we went there in 2005. DH thought it "wasn't really a full day"

SO: with the newer things at that park plus Aquatica: will that make for a nice very full day?

From the looks of the new water park I'd say Aquatica will be a full day in itself.

There's no way to do Sea World and Aquatica in one day.Sea World has many shows held only at certain times to be able to do all or at least most of them you need a full day at Sea World. As far as Aquatica, most waterparks I spend at least 6-8 hours there and I'm sure when this one opens it'll be pretty crowded and will definitely require a full day!

personally I think Seaworld is more then one day and I'm pretty sure Aquatica is a one day to... So doing both in a day I would say is impossible...

I agree with the other posterss, Sea World is easily at least a day--even then, I'm not sure you would see all the shows. Aquatica is looking to be the better part of a full-day in and of itself, as well--the place is big!

I imagine SW will have some sort of 2-day, 2-park "hopper" tickets when Aquatica finally opens.

BTW, completely off-topic, but Doom 1001, I love your signature. "If you bought it somewhere else, YOU PAID TOO MUCH!!!"

Thanks!

We'll probably just do Sea World this time, then, and if Aquatica appeals to us we'll do that the next year. DD is mixed with her response to water stuff, anyway. Its a lot of money to risk on somebody getting water in their eyes and wanting to go home... ;)

No one knows if Aquatica is going to be a full day....its not open. If what they say is true, that its going to be DC with Waterslides....hecks yes. But stick with Sea World. As your child gets older, they'll be able to do more, which means waiting in more lines....really I think thats why disney is three or four day place.....all the lines.....
But, with all the happy harbour additions you should have plenty to do, as well as all the new shows.

I agree you need more than a day, Seaworld you can make a day easy there's so much to do, we do at least two days at seaworld.

then aquatica, its not open yet, but you say you going spring 08, same time the its opens, so its gonna be busy, you need a day

We just got back from our trip to Sea World last night. There is a big diorama set up at Sea World that shows you the layout of what Aquatica will look like. This looks like an amazing place and I know that it would take all day to do everything. There are so many water slides and interactive water devices as well as the biggest wave pool!

We did Sea World in 2.5 days. With the heat and the show schedule, it took that long to see and do most everything. We ended up not having time for Shamu Rocks and the sky tower. If you forced yourself, you could probably do everything in 2 days but we just couldn't with the temperature and humidity.

I went to sea world with family and friends on the 4th of july and the shamu rocks wasn't that bad. It's louder then the old shamu rocks america but it's cool. did you see the fireworks show?

You can do SeaWorld in a day if you get there at opening. You need to take a look at the show schedule and plan accordingly. You usually need to get to a show 15 mins before the show to get a seat. Do not go to the early Believe shows those are the most full. The best Believe show to go to is the last. It is usually the least crowded and if the sun is setting or set you will get the show with lighting which makes it better. If you have to skip one of the shows, skip Odyssea, it is just a lame Cirque du Soliel rip off. But there are only 5 major shows so you should be able to hit all of them. If you wanna feed the dolphins go to Dolphin Cove in the morning and check the feeding schedule. Usually the middle of the day will be the least busiest. Unfortunately, if you wanna interact with the dolphins paying for it is the only way now.
