My parents are going on our trip with us this year, our daughter's first trip to Disney and we are debating on whether or not we should do Sea World. The only time we have available is the day my husband myself and daughter get down there (my parents are driving and will already be there and are picking us up from the airport) Our flight comes in at 9:30am and we have BBB reservations at 5:30pm in preparation for MNSSHP that evening. Part of me wants to do Sea World and the other just wants to relax at the Condo poolside because we will be up early to catch our 5:50am flight out of Milwaukee. Any suggestions on if Sea World is worth the money and short amount of time we will be able to spend at the park?

Thank you! 48 more days for us!!!

You might get better responces on the Sea World message board... You might get mostly Blackfish debate here.

I am curious as to the answers in this because I am debating the same thing. We leave out of Milwaukee this Saturday. We have 1 non disney park day( monday). Do we add sea world or do a condo day?
Anyone know how crowds are at sea world?

In your case I would not. We had $25 education program tickets last year so we went with our group from 9-2. We saw two shows, the penguins, shopped, and dh rode Manta seven times. :-) but the shows are spaced throughout the day so you'd likely only see a couple, so unless someone really wants to do something specific there (and that ONE thing is worth full ticket price) I would just settle in and relax. Have a wonderful trip!

I wouldn't do it. You will be up early for your flight, not getting into FL until 9:30 which means getting to Sea World about say 10:30 - then you need to leave for a 5:30pm BBB appointment for MNSSHP that night... Way too much squished in on your arrival day. :goodvibes

I would have to chime in as a "no" too, SeaWorld is a large park and you simply don't have enough time that day to fully enjoy it, you would be able to see a show ot two, maybe do a ride or two, and depending on the age of your child, you could spend quite some time just in the kids rides alone.

I agree that it is probably too much. SeaWorld is huge and if you really want to see and do everything it could take two days. If you have an extra day, then go for it but considering you will be up early and out late you may want to sit by the pool, have a nice lunch, and take a nap.

iluvmytwins - the crowds are really the same at all the parks. If it's busy at Disney, it will be busy at SeaWorld. If it's slow at Disney, it will be slow at SeaWorld. Crowds are usually determined by the time of year so all the parks are busy in the summer and during the holidays. The only time there is a difference between the parks is if one park has a special event but those usually only happen a few times a year.

I agree with the other posters you will be very rushed on this. I would wait until another trip - SeaWorld is a fun day but you need to have a relaxed pace as it is a lot of shows.

Yeah tuff call. We're going in September for this Disney trip. Haven't been to seaworld since 2008. Have skipped it last few times. I'm real excited to go.
My kids barely remember it

I have to agree with those who say to skip it and relax. You will be exhausted and need to rest up for everything else so you don't get cranky and tired. We just got back from SeaWorld. Lots to see there. I'd save it for another trip.

While I think Seaworld is awesome and amazing and well worth a visit, its best enjoyed when you can devote a whole day (or more) as there's so much to see and do. On a travel day, I'd probably take a pass. Visit on a day that you can arrive at park opening and plan to stay until close.
