So tell me about it. Is this going to be an all day event where we will go back in the afternoon, or will we be able to get the gist of it in the morning and leave at lunch time? The kids will be 3 & 4 and if I recall correctly there really isn't that many rides, it's mostly shows and looking around for that age.

It depends. It was a two day event for us, but I suppose if all you want is to "get the gst of it" you could walk around a bit, take a peak at the dolphins, feed the stingrays, catch a show and leave.

I don't understand why you would even bother buying tickets and going if you plan to leave at lunchtime. On the other hand, I think Shark Encounter alone is worth the price of admission so I guess it really is what you make of it.

If it's anything like our Seaworld here in San Antonio (and I'm sure it is), the shows are spread out throughout the day and the timing of them makes it hard to leave one show and get all the way across the park to see another show that starts minutes afterwards. We have season passes, and my husband is there with the kids now, if they bring a daily list of attractions back with them, I can scan it and send it to you.

It is an all day event for us. There is a new area full of rides just for small children. My kids loved that! The shows are all really good! We usually go in the am, leave to rest in the heat of the afternoon, then return later.

We took DS 4 last year. We arrived around noon and stayed until they closed (9:00 or so). There is a kiddie ride area with 5 ot 6 rides. Shamu's Roller Coaster (Think Goofy's Barnstormer), a carousel, a tea cups, a balloon ride and 1 or 2 other rides. What we did was when we arrived we grabbed a map and times guide and picked out the shows we wanted to see and noted the times, then we worked all the other exhibits and rides around those. It worked out well. We saw Shamu, then rode a couple of rides. We saw the dolphin show, then rode some more rides. Saw the Otter and Sea Lion Show (A DON"T MISS) and then rode some more rides. It worked for us.

I visited San Antonio SeaWorld just this past week and found that the day goes pretty quickly. As a matter of fact, I was pretty unimpressed with SW and do not plan to visit again. The shows had more humans than marine life and though the park is pretty spread-out, it takes no time at all to get from one attraction to the next.

I think you could plan for one day, arrive early, get it all done and have a nice dinner elsewhere.

We spent two days at Seaworld Orlando, and didn't have time to do it all. The shows are great! DS who is 20 months loved it! Make sure you have plenty of cash for feeding the dolphins, stingrays, and sea lions. The stands don't take credit/debit.
