I have only been to Sea World in Orlando. In June will be go to Sea World in San Antonio as we are there for a family reunion and are staying a week. What is the primary difference and is there anything I should know in advance? I have heard some folks say they like Texas Sea World better.

I've been to all three. The last time I went to San Antonio (last May) I thought the Shamu shows were far superior to San Diego or Orlando. It just seems more upbeat and fast-paced. Their Shamu stadium is completely different too, it's a covered arena and seating is on three sides. (Think of how a concert would be set up.)

San Antonio is also the only place where you can do a sea lion interaction program. I did it in May and thought it was awesome! (I'm partial to sea lions- love them)

They also have some different rides as well. The steel eel is a fun coaster with big hills.

Attraction wise, Sea World parks get better from East to West. Since San Antonio is in the middle, it does not have as many attractions as Orlando, but the park has a Texas-style feel with its native vegetation and shrubbery which makes it feel different than the other 2 parks. Our Atlantis, however, is the red-headed step-child of its predecessor in Orlando which is a stripped down version of the ride itself which was a huge disappointment to all of us that loved the version in Orlando. But that's where the disappointment ends for us. The rest of the rides in the park are fantastic and the natural beauty of the Texas hill country that is engraved in the park makes for a pleasant wait time. This park also offers up Texas food such as fantastic BBQ thats smoked in a pit outside of the restaurant using mesquite (our local tree) and oak. This is not something stuck in an industrial oven and cooked but rather done correctly which is really good. This is a great park and has a lower cost than the Orlando park which makes it a great value. Have a great time when you come down here and we hope we see you as we visit the park 98% of the operating season.

I am looking for an itinerary of the must see first thing in Sea World San Antonio.. can anyone help?

Loved hearing about this -- DS (19) is doing the college aged camp here at the end of the summer.
