HI! I'm the one who complained about the Cdn. dollar, the price of flights etc.. etc., etc.. but... we're going and we're driving. (what a relief to finally make a decison!!!)

We are planning to spend 4 nights at Disney and then go to Seaworld. Can a family do Seaworld in one day? ANd..... should we buy our passes right at Seaworld?

Also.... what is a nice family place to stay around the Seaworld area for a family of 4?

Any other suggestions for this area? I'm not too keen about Universal but haven't ruled it out yet.

Any info would be appreciated -

Olivia

If you're just going for a short visit, I wouldn't bother with Sea Word, or US/IOA...you can definitely do Sea World in a day...actually I think you can do it in much less...depending on the ages of your party. For a short visit like you're indicating, I would just stick with WDW and leave the other parks for another visit. It will be hectic for you to see all the WDW parks in 4 days unless you go non-stop, without any breaks, and depending on when you're going, you'll probably need them.

Olivia,

If you decide to go to Sea World, CAA is currently offering Sea World tickets at par and you get two days admittance rather than one. There is an expiry date on these (might be the end of April, but I'm not sure) so depending on when you are going, you may or may not be able to take advantage of this offer.

Good luck.

Hi...I would definately do SW...We were ther On Feb 6 and it was our favorite day...it beat out USF & WDW...even our six year old daughter agreed. Buy your tickets at CAA @ par. You can buy them at SW @ par...but you have to wait in quite a line, if you already have your tickets its much faster. One day is lots of time to catch all the shows & see the park. If you like rides try Kracken & Journey to Atlantis...bothe are great!
PS you are brave to drive, our daughter hates the drive to Halifax alone!!!!!!

We went to Sea World in Dec we bought our tickets at the gate and they gave us Can @ PAR so it wasn't too bad. Sea World was fun but we had to really work at staying for a full day we actually did it all in about half the day but stayed around for some other shows. So if you don't want to take in any shows you can get it done by about 1 in the afternoon at the latest.

If you decide to do Sea World, the price of the Canadian at par special is $58 can, for two days. This ticket is valid at either Sea World, or Busch Gardens, but you cannot use one day at each park. Child price, ages 3-9 is $45 can.

We loved Seaworld when we did it a few years ago. We did one of the backstage tours that was geared for kids and our 2 thought it was great! They got a little canvas bag to put their treasures from the tour in. They got a stingray tooth, a penguin feather, a piece of snake skin and some other things I think. We fed the dolphins, patted a snake and a hedgehog and learned all kinds of interesting things.
