Sea World Package Questions

We are thinking of planning a trip to Sea World/Aquatica/Discovery Cove for this May.

I have started looking through the site at various packages and am trying to figure out some things.

I know with a Discovery Cove ticket you get the 14 day admission to Sea World/Aquatica. However, it appears any of the packages you book directly through the Sea World site such as free dining or kids free all include tickets to at least Sea World. I do not want to pay twice for tickets.

So here is my question. If I bought the Discovery Cove tickets seperate and then just made a seperate reservation through the Renaissance Sea World Hotel website, would I still get all the perks of staying there such as the access to Quick Queue Unlimited? Or is there some other way to do this?

I believe you would get the perks from staying at the "partner" hotel even if you didn't book with a package.

Yes, you would .

The QQ passes are available for all registered guests in the room, regardless of how you booked. The passes are distributed by the Expedia Travel Desk inside the hotel lobby, not the front desk of the hotel. The Expedia staff have no idea if your booking was via a SW package, or through Hotwire. As long as you are a registered guest, you get all the onsite perks like QQ and free transportation to the parks.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but I believe you can buy a SeaWorld AP and then purchase Discovery Cove tickets at a pretty decent discount. The discount tickets do not come with the SeaWorld tickets. You can purchase a SeaWorld Fun Card for the rest of the family that is good for unlimited visits until December 31, 2013. The AP will cover parking at SeaWorld also. Then you can book directly with a hotel.

The discount you get with the annual pass is less than the cost of the fun card, so not really beneficial in going that route.
