Hi,

Is the park open through the bank holiday period e.g 22nd December to 1st january

are all the shows on..I have heard it can get cold in florida in december. Are the shows weather/temperature dependant.

If the park is open/closed..what are the open hours in the last december week..

Many thanks

Most of those questions can be answered here

Now, the temperature in December is not that bad. It is in January that it gets cold. I can't predict the weather. Ok, so the details. Goto www.yahoo.com and click on weather. You can get averages for Orlando in December. Here, I'll do it for you.

It's a toss up. January is the coldest month. That's when we hear about cold freezes on the news. In February it starts to warm up. Best time to visit IOA.

I've been to Disney World in December to see the lights at MGM. It's cold at night, about 50. So you wear a jacket, no problem. You won't be swimming at the hotel pools, but you'll have a great time. Who knows, some of the hot tubs may be working. I've done that, been in a hot tub in 50 degree weather.

Parks should be empty, you will have no lines. That will make the trip worth it.

Remember thats 50 degrees fahrenheit... so do your own calculation... sorry, I'm losing it metric.

We've been in December, and well its not freezing for us, so to us a lighter type windbreaker jacket is good with like jeans/sweatshirts.

Coming from England it is unlikely you'll find Florida too cold to do most of the things on offer. Maybe time at the beach will be off the menu but most other things are goin gto be ok. The weather can vary depending on the prevailing winds but genuinely "cold snaps" are rare. The temps are likely to be in the mid 60s and low 70s, I don't find wearing shorts and T-shirts a problem but many women complain that the airconditioning in the restaurants are too efficient/cold and feel the need for a sweater/cardigan, particularly in the evenings. It's possible that you'll get occassional days close to freezing but unlikely. I would pack for british spring/summer weather and if you get unlucky buy a couple of nice WDW sweatshirts/fleeces each as you'll get plenty of use out of them when you get home LOL

By the way there is a whole site dedicated to British readers of the DIS and it's available on http://www.wdwinfo.co.uk you'll probable find the answers to a lot of your other questions over there

hope to see you over there.
