We’re looking at booking a 2-bd at OKW but have someone with mobility issues/used a scooter. Do they have 2-bd units in the ground floor? TIA 😁

You'll need to book an accessible unit to be sure you can get the scooter into the room. Not all buildings have elevators. Accessible room is the only way to guarantee you'll be first floor or in a building with an elevator. A regular room with a "request" for first floor won't guarantee it.

Or you can just chance it, request ground floor (be sure you say for medical reasons), then worry for all the time before you get there, hoping you'll get ground floor. The good news is that in about 8 years of using a scooter and requesting ground floor, that request has always been met. The "bad" news is that all the worry about "Will we get our request?" that I've done for all this time was too taxing for us, so our next stay is in a HA villa. This time I can have a worry-free wait.

Last time I was there a 2nd floor room had a scooter and just parked it in the first floor near an outlet to charge. YMMV.

One of our family members uses a scooter and every hotel she stayed at allowed her to leave her scooter in the hallway and charge it, there was no issue and they were very accommodating. If they can transfer and dont mind leaving the scooter out i wouldn't worry about any issues at all.
