We are planning a trip to Disney in Oct and we would like to spend a day in Sea World. Our kids are 11 & 6...will we be able to do Sea World in just one day?
Thanks.

Sure, Sea World is easy to do in a day if you keep moving. I teach and brought in 9 charter bus loads of kids, we did fine and just spent one day in the park. It is beautiful and lots of fun for the kids (and big kids, too...)

We were at Sea World yesterday with DS10 and DS8. Arrived just before 10 a.m. and left at 4:30 p.m. Did Shamu and Sea Lion/Otter show, all three rides (Atlantis twice and Kraken 3X), viewed Dolphins, Manatees, stingrays, penguins and had a nice lunch at Shark Encounter. Very doable. Were ready to leave then. Really like SeaWorld even though it's not WDW. But it's very interesting, clean, nicely done and fun too.

It is definately do-able in a day, remember too that you get a 2nd day free with a single day ticket purchase! See previous thread about this.
Have fun!

Absolutely - just plan ahead and know what you really want to see, like Shamu. There are several shows - you will want to pick and choose because show schedules never seem to line up perfectly, do they? Do Clyde & Seamore if it's still there. If you like thrill rides, you will want to plan for Kraken and Atlantis.

I hope its doable in a day. We'll be at WDW 10/15 to 10/21 and we are doing Sea World on 10/21. Yeah same day as WDW. We're going to Sea World from 10-5 then back to WDW. :)

You can absolutely do it in one day! We were there in November, did all the shows, stopped at all the attractions(dolphin feeding, pics with Shamu and Dolly,etc..),let the kids play for awhile in the play area and had dinner with Shamu before the park closed at 6. It's a great park-clean and well organized.

i would say yes, we went from 1230-630 and it was enough for us

It can be done in a day - especially right now while the dolphin show is being refurbished and is closed. It always depends on how long you want to spend in each area and if you are like us, we can't really make it to evrrything each time we go. We spend too much time in the Wild Arctic (if not crowded) so we can get the walrus to play with us. One time he actually came up to window to give me a kiss. LOL and if the polar bears are playing it is hard to walk away. You will also want to give the kids time to lay at Shamu's Happy Harbor and to play in the fountains if it is really hot out. Plan on a day and if you think you need more time after being there you can get the 2nd day free pass any time during the day. You all have to go to get them, can't just send one member of the party, though.

Wonderful. I am so glad to hear that. We were planning on doing one whole day at SW before we hit WDW for 4 days for the Cheer comp.
