Sea World - food questions

My family hasn't been to Sea World in a few years, so we don't know what to expect food-wise. My husband and I are on specific diets right now, so it would be easiest to just bring our own food. Is that allowed? My kids can eat whatever - is there some type of day-long meal plan that just they can get? Or how much can I expect to pay for kids meals there? Recommendations on where to get their food?

There is all day all eat plan for kids and adults. I remember the adults being 29.99 plus tax. It save so much money and the food was great. It even was better than WDW food. I like the fact that get fresh fruit as side and drink every time that go through the line. They give armband. It only for certain restaurants.

We going to Sea World and Busch Gardens this summer and we getting the all eat dining plan again. I have feed 3 kids. That have eat every five minutes. LOL

We saw them refuse to allow a lady to enter with her sandwich when we were there in December. She was told to return it to her car.

if you have dietary restrictins, you are allowed to bring your own food. Technically they allow you to bring only water, baby foodd, snacks, and special dietary foods.

the all day thing is pricey for a day but really good when it's hot. You can just go in and head over to the registers (no need to stand in the full line) and grab drinks/waters and fruit and show your armband and they wave you on. I think our Sea World day was the only day we were really hydrated on our whole trip! LOL

You will find some more info in the Sea World subforum here.

We went there last spring, and my son has food allergies (dairy and egg). We did not do the all-day dining, since we just went for a couple hours at a time (had free preferred parking so we parked right near the entrance, which is so much quicker than Disney parks). I thought it was a lot, since my daughter and I can share a sandwich and be full.

Compared to Disney, they aren't quite as food allergy conscious. But, we did do fine, as far as he could get something wherever we chose to eat. I always asked to talk to someone before we ordered so they could check ingredients. They made a few adjustments to sandwiches, so then when we knew what he could get, he had the same sandwich a few times. I do think Disney is the best for allergies, though, so it's hard to compare anyone to them! At Disney they bring out a chef (or manager at counter service) every time, and make him whatever they can. They are amazing, and even though I spend more there, it is so worth it.

If you're really worried, I would pack a small cooler, making sure it's well cooled with ice packs (you could pick up some small ones at Target or Walmart, or take them room temp in your suitcase). I don't recall, but they probably have lockers to store it in, or if you park in preferred parking you could leave it in the car and go get it later. I used to take him food everywhere, and at least at Disney would bring safe snacks (little kids like snacks) so am used to bringing a small cooler around!

OP here - Thanks for the responses!

I finally found something on the Sea World website... no food permitted unless for dietary restrictions (and for the little ones). I guess hubby and I fit into that category (dietary restrictions - not little ones by any means... LOL)! We'll just bring our simple food in disposable baggies and hope for the best.

It's so much easier at Disney. All these other parks remind me why it's Disney that I love so much. No one comes close!

Anyone happen to know if you can get free ice water at Sea World like you can at Disney?
