WHAT IS "SEA LICE"??
Well I see that nobdy has answered this question yet so, here goes.
"Sea Lice" are bady jelly fish. Remember in the movie "Finding Nemo" when Dory sees this little jelly fish swimming in the water and calls it "Squishy". Well if you put the size of the baby jelly fish in perspective with the other fish, it is very, very small.
Anyway, at certain times of the year, depending on water temperature, wind conditions etc, jelly fish along with their babies float into the area.
What happens is that as you are swimming the get logged into your swim suits and sting, release a venem through a small puncture wound in the skin. You don't know there, even there cause you can't see them.
Anyway. this sting causes a skin rash which can be irriating for a few days.
"Safe Sea" is a lotion which you place on your body like sun tan lotion to prevent the stings from taking place.
It is important to put it on BEFORE you place your swim suit on as these little creatures will swim into your suit and lodge in the area between your suit and skin.
www.lifesavers.com has a grat description of it on their web site.
I hope this helps.
