Sea Raycers and the current state of Disney's boat rentals

Sorry being late to the party. I was just looking at the Wilderness Lodge on Google Maps. The aerial pictures are from 2024 apparently and there are small boats lined up at the dock there. The building for Geyser Point Bar is visible as well. Not sure when that was built, bit it's rather recent, I think?

Anyways, we always rented Sea Raycers at least once each trip, as they were so much fun and we could see some of the more untouched areas at WDW. Plus there was a discount for DVC members as well. The price was fine. We usually rented for an hour and the CMs always were really nice and didn't charge more even if we came in 15 min. late. One time, we had to go back about 45 min. into the rental as a thunder storm was approaching and the Whaler with the lake supervisor went around and told everyone to go back to their pier. When we got there, it was pretty much exactly one houre since we left and they waived the rental fee completely because of the bad weather approaching.

Wasn't there in November, that set of images aren't actually from 2024, they just are giving a copyright date. You can tell it is from before 2019 given that no work has been done with River Country yet.

I think a few are still available at the Fort for early morn fishing only.

I was surprised they still had kayaks and canoes for rent at Fort!
It’s about half hour circle but in Wilderness
I was nervous waiting for family to return
They were given a loud horn to blast if they needed Help.
So glad to see them returning just around the riverbend

I hope DL still has the canoes circling around Tom Sawyer Island …

We very much miss the Racers. Rented many times over several years. Was very disappointed when they disappeared.

We have a very cute picture of us in one hanging up in our Disney photo area in our laundry room in the basement. It never fails to make me smile.

We we're actually considering this, but my daughter is afraid of an alligator attacking the canoe 🤣 I tried to reassure her, but she just refuses to try for this reason..
