Hi everyone!

I will be getting married on January 4th, 2011 at Sea Breeze Point being held at 2:30. I was just wondering what others experienced when getting married there? I was there in December 09 and was able to view the location and I did not find it windy at all as I have heard. And the day we went was quite hot. Does anyone have pictures that they can post?

Thanks

We were married there 1/17/10 at noon. It was warm (about 75) and VERY sunny and pretty windy. But the next day was very cool.

I have some pictures in my pj, but also did a Blurb book, which can be seen at the link below if you want to take a look. There are A LOT more pictures there.

I loved SBP, and think it is a gorgeous place for a wedding.

The things you might want to consider:

Time of day and how sunny it is going to be. I wouldn't suggest noon, especially if you have sensitive eyes. I'm squinting/scowling through most of my video.

Find out what your alternate site is if the weather is bad, or it is too cold. Usually, it is a room in the Boardwalk convention center.

Thanks for giving me all the info. I love the pictures. You all were very beautful.

We will be getting married at 2:30 (the latest slot I could pick). And I know there is a back up location should it be to cold or rain. We took a look last year as I mentioned and it was great. Again, it wasn't windy for me as it was so hot and humid. It did start cooling off a bit towards the end of our trip in Dec. And of course they had the cold snap there.

My biggest concern would be the rain. Im not to worried about a bit of cold since our winters here are very cold.

Your cake was beautiful. Did you do an escape wedding or wishes? We are doing escape but are trying to stay within budget and are not upgrading to much. Pictures was our big thing as they last forever. I would love to have Cinderella's Coach but that is way to expensive and the DF said that if we get that then we are going to get married in it for the price.

I appreciate your posts and once I get home since im at work and should be getting some things done, I can go through your album and PJ a bit more.

We had an escape wedding. I hear you on the budget. :) Our disney bill was b/w 9 & 10 grand. Obviously that is not including things like the extra money for Randy, the dress, tuxes, hair & makeup etc.

A week or two after our wedding DFTW announced the $10,000 minimum for weekday morning wishes wedding. If they had that deal while we were planning we probably would have upgraded to the wishes and kept as close as possible to the minimum, but oh well! We still had a great time, love our pictures and paid MUCH less than if we'd gotten married here in the DC metro area.

Happy planning, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask or PM me.:thumbsup2

I got married at SBP on June 9 at 10am. We chose an early time to avoid the heat. I did not find that it was overly hot and we definitely did not feel any wind. Here are some pics for you.

We married at SBP 08/17/09 at 2.30pm. Being August it was HOT but luckily not too humid that day. There was a little breeze, which you can see on the video and in some photos - there are fun ones with my veil going mad, but not during the actual ceremony. Some of our petals blew up on my train but my niece did a great job of "keeping it clean" :rotfl: I have photos in my trip report if you'd like to look :goodvibes

We were married there 12/29/2009. It was unusually cold that week, but not windy or too rainy. Lots of pictures in my TR. There does seem to be a bit of a breeze according to my skirt's movement, but it would only affect something like a veil.

The pictures are beautiful. I love the color of your flowers and your dress is wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing your photo's.

I was just a bit nervous since I want to wear my hair down and it's quite long. I don't want it blowing all in my face and having to move it away. I guess I can't stress over the things that I can't control. I am just excited to have all my family there sharing my special day. :dance3:

We were there last Dec and it was starting to get cold. It was a very weird year. Im glad to be hearing that it's not overly windy and that everyone enjoyed the location. Thank you for sharing your info.

We are keeping a spreadsheet as to what we are spending. Right now I believe we are up to $7000 US and we are keeping another one for what we spend here in Canada. We are happy to be spending the money where it makes us happy. We go to Disney once a year and love it. We are very excited!!!

If I have any questions I will definately ask. Thanks for all the info.

I was married in Jan 2008 and it was freezing out! Now I wasn't married ad SBP, but at the Yacht Club it was cold- like 55 degrees. Plan accordingly because the weather is unpredictable! Best wishes to you on your wedding day!

Just wondering, we're have our ceremony at SBP. We're having a Wishes wedding, about 50 people, and will not being doing a staged exit. So, once your married, and you walk down the "aisle" - then what? Did you and the groom (along with the bridal party) leave and go take pictures or do you mingle for a bit and then go take pictures???

I'm sure this is something that will be discussed at rehearsal but I would like to have an idea before hand. TIA! :goodvibes

I know that the weather can get very cold there as we were there in the cold snap last Dec. It was hot when we first arrived then it started getting colder as we were there. I will make sure that I am prepared. Cold I can deal with more so than the rain.

After our exit (which was not staged) we turned around and went back "in". Mickey and Minnie came within a few minutes for our cake cutting, dance etc. Once they left our guests headed to the Napa Room and we took pictures around SBP.

Well, I thought they were headed to the Napa Room where appetizers would be greeting them. Instead they all had to wait around for us and we went up to the Napa Room together. We had taken most of the pictures before the ceremony so we didn't have a lot of pictures to take after.
