SDV Orlando ????

I know a bunch of us are going to the SDV at the YC in August, and I have a few questions...


I tried posting on the resorts but no responses.... you guys are much more helpful anyway.

Is the food area open for mug refills like it was at CR for late nite drinks??

Is there a shipping center at YC for sending boxes of supplies to and from the resort?

I am sure I have more questions, just haven't figured them all out yet.

I have done meetings there and stayed and there and I know for sure you can ship out of the business center...but you will want to verify the address...

Last time I was there they did not have a drink center but that was 2002...

I'm assuming that the 1700 is Yacht club since both were listed first.

It is 1700 Epcot Resort Blvd.
Put your name and date of arrival. They also have shipping facilities to ship stuff back.

Can't answer about the drinks, I've never stayed there. DUH< I should have asked on the phone!

That was one of the first questions I asked. I posted on the resort board/Yacht and Beach thread and was told that everything closes at 11:00pm. Bummer!! I have to have my fix of diet soda to keep me going. I'm planning on bringing a small cooler and one of those small folding luggage things with wheels. I don't care if I look like a dork!!! I HAVE to hav my diet soda.

Have you guys taken any classes in the past? There are no current conventions open with a class list but from what I've read in the pas there wasn't much.

DH is coming with me so we were trying to figure out when to ride Everest, great photo op without kids. I just wanted to see if it is worth the time to do classes.

tubachick is it really still 4 months away?

Are we going to do t-shirts again? I may just revamp the one from last year.

Last year I took three classes. I took a file folder book, an altered childrens hard book and I think the third was called chips n'dip. I'll probably take more this year.

Norma Anne Chattin is a designer for Spellbinders, the makers of the Wizard. She teaches occasionally at my store and has taught at some of the SDV's a few years ago. She might teach again this year using the Wizard in the classes. (The Wizard is an embossing and dis cutting system that has it's own dies or you can use sizzix, sizzlets or quickkuts.)

Norma Anne was at my store yesterday for a meet-up group. She just got word that she'll be teaching at the Orlando and Raleigh SDVs. Yeah! She's really into stamping, card making and cool techniques, but also does some awesome layouts. Her website is www.nachattin.com.

All the classes are extra. Last year I paid between $20-$35 for each class.

Thank you for the class info! I'm going for the first time this year and I'm so excited

But I'm only going Friday as I'm local and it's my birthday, so DH is going with me to Disney, I'll scrap, we're going to stay over and do the parks Saturday. Disney with DH + Scrapbooking + Birthday Dinner at LeCellier + a Disney Resort = Perfect Birthday!!

Hi Tracy, Yes I'm on the dream events forum. I just signed up last week under MissBianca. I haven't had much time to spend over there with the new baby and all but I lurk when I can.
I haven't signed up for swaps there yet. I'm in 4 here right now and one somewhere else plus I just started my first circle journal so I'm kind at my limit right now. I wish I had signed up in time for the paint can swap though, that looks like a lot of fun! Of course I would be paranoid that my pal wouldn't like my stuff. LOL

I might try to sign up for the yahoo group if I can convince DH to take the baby for a while, typing one handed can be difficult at times. Especially when my head is talking faster than my hand.

Were you at SDV Orlando last year? That was my first SDV. I took my mom and we had a blast. This year I'm taking DH because it's his 40th b'day on the 25th. I'm going to scrap and he gets to take pictures uninterrupted all day, he couldn't ask for a better gift.
