hahaha Yeah- when we asked her- it was just us being nice and never dreamed she would accept. Well it's done now- we have someone else who wants to come but we told her registration was closed- she almost needs her hand held while she scrapbooks. LOLOLOL

Has anyone had trouble reaching Dale and/or Nancy? They were supposed to add a couple days onto the end of our trip but I have not heard back from them. Also, my total amount due has not changed. It has been a couple weeks and while I am sure it is because they are really busy, it is making me a little nervous. Just wondering if anyone is having a problem. Thanks, Patty

That is what I figured, but our balance is due soon so I need to know how much I owe. Plus, if the Contemporary is not available for the 2 days following the crop, then I need to book something else asap as free dining is out. Can you tell I am a control freak!?!?!?

We had to contact them about one of our people cancelling- but it was only a day and they called us back and took care of it.

well, from the looks of it I won't be bothering with classes this year.
I just looked at the list from the NC SDV and and all the classes are that photo guy from last year (didn't like his classes), his wife doing basic scrap pages and layouts and another lady. One class looks remotely interesting but I can probably do it on my own. So, I'm gonna save some money and get some scrapping done!!

I wish Sally Lynn would come back! I know why she doesn't but still, I miss her. I'd love a copic marker class!!

I was thinking, for $2.50 we could get our shirts at Michael's this year. I know the mail-in place is super cheap too, but I end up having to order 2 sizes because I'm never sure which size will fit. If we can find the right colors at Michael's, which I realize could be a pain, we could do that. What do y'all think?

Ummmmm -- am I the only newbie here? Are there group things we're doing (besides the breakfast, which I need to pass on) that we should know about? I'll just have August to do any prep work (including packing what I want to work on). This is my very first crop -- am just doing the two-day local pkg, so it will all be a learning experience for me (well, except for being at WDW [am an old hand at that -- actually it will be odd being so close to MK and having so much time scheduled away from the park!]).

Oh, by the way -- My name is Melissa and I'm from Asheville, NC (and that tag stuff is Tag Fairy leftovers from years ago playing in a WPSADI (sp?) contest here). Except for Skamps, which I used -- it's the toast of the Dad's in Sleeping Beauty. So, Pam, I hope your siggy means I'm not the only tippler in the group!

We may have some technique classes, we haven't really discussed it.

But other then breakfast, that's about it.

I've gone to SDV since 2006 (missed 2008 due to family stuff) but last year was my first year with this fabulous group of DIS Divas and I can't wait for this year My first couple of years I went with a friend and we did matching shirts and got lots of compliments. I made one that had the castle and Mickey in front and we put "Scrapbooking Princess" and it was super cute. Unfortunately, the file was on our old computer and is now lost forever thanks to a major crash - hence the new MAC

Anyway . . . last year we did matching shirts on Friday (baby blue) and Saturday (pale pink) and it was a lot of fun - especially being all match-y at breakfast! Want to do baby blue and pale pink again? Those colors look good on everyone. I saw nice, super soft Tees at Target for $5 yesterday. If I get back to Target tomorrow and they have the right colors and they're still $5 I will probably get those. I'll take a look at what Michael's has, too. The Jiffy shirts were fine, great price, but kinda scratchy to me (and no I am not a super delicate girl ). If you use fabric softener the iron on doesn't work too well.

I like the one with the date, but if we don't use the date, then we'll have them for next year. Of course, my blue one from last year took a trip in the dryer and got destroyed

OK I have paid for the trip, and we got the airfare for the going to Orlando part of the trip. Now I just have to get the rest together.
