SDMT Soft Opening Lookout Post

Glad it worked out, but this is clearly unusual circumstances. If these are available day-of after official open, I would also be happy. :goodvibes

Exactly. Mountain FPs were not available (until late night) for our group of 5 when I tried to change my FPs on Friday around 9am. We had to wait 30 mins for Small World and POTC too. We didn't even get a chance for a 4th FP+ because available times were in evening.

Rode 7 Dwarves Mine Train Friday - 30 minutes standby when posted was 60 and back at teacups. My kids liked it, but I thought it was somewhere between Barnstormer and BTMRR. I prefer RnR.

We also used child swap because my 2 year old was an inch shy of 38in. After Friday, I think no FP is better than FP+.

Got to say I was a little annoyed today. Got to the park, went straight to New Fantasyland where CMs were yelling at people that the Mine Train would not be open today, and it opens May 28th. Obviously, I knew it had already been open, so I went to check.

The CMs in front of the train said they didn't know what time it would open, but we could go ahead and get in line for when it does.

While on line, we realized FP+ opened and got them for 10:15. Awesome. Left to ride Pan, and passed another CM was again yelling that the Mine Train would not be open.

Now, I can understand saying they don't know what times it will be open. We get that it's a soft opening and could close whenever, but the insisting to still say it wouldn't be open even after word spread about the FP+ seemed silly.

I did love the ride, though! :)

Bold - Exactly how Disney is marketing it. B - 35", 7DMT - 38", BTMRR - 40"

None are meant to be the same as RnR - 48"
