SDMT Soft Opening Lookout Post

How many people can you take with you on it? Me and my would love to ride it.its her birthday today and we are leaving on Friday and would to love to ride it.:goodvibes

Sorry, but I no longer have the card. However, the card they are flashing looks like this:

On the back side, it has your date/time window that you can ride. As long as your card is valid, you can ride as many times as you want. The preview from 5/12-5/14 is for Magic Kingdom Operations only and is NOT extended to merchandise, custodial, photopass, entertainment, etc.

They may start randomly asking people as of this weekend, but it won't be a soft opening. I asked a Fantasyland leader at unload when I used my ticket and as per the leader I spoke to, it will be more of an invitational magical moment. I have no idea if what this leader said was true, as I never met him previously.

Edited to quote the image to allow easy removal, if needed.

CM previews don't normally allow guests at all. Just the person who has the card/invite.

I put all my hope on May 27th... or there's a soft opening at this day and I ride SDMT or only in 2000 and only-God-knows.

You Rock, "The Hub"! Thanks for the insider scoop! I hope you really enjoyed it! CM seem to be a hard working bunch, so I am glad you guys get first dibs!

I'll be there on Sunday, so maybe some pixie dust will blow my way.

Nothing yet? I can't believe how long they have actually waited post-announcement. Some days it really does feel like they are just yankin' our chains...:rolleyes2

On a podcast I was listening to they said Disney would really like to have SDMT open for the 24hrs party during the night. That would great if they could pull that off.

Interesting. Was told yesterday by two CMs when my children and I asked about soft openings....that there were none today...just testing...but there might be this week to check back. Told that twice. Once in the morning and once on the afternoon. Saw lots of cars going around full.

Interesting. I was told today that they were starting soft openings today. I will be at the magic kingdom today and let you know what I see.

. Watching this thread VERY closely. We leave tomorrow and hope that we get a chance to ride durning a soft opening.

There may be some testing with CMs in the next week, that is all I have read about so far.

I was hoping D23 would step in, and actually have an interesting event on the east coast! For once.

We'll be up for the weekend.. hoping there are some soft openings but not holding my breath!

My niece works at MK. She and a coworker were given a special "test pass" yesterday for CMs. Of course, they had to go home and change clothes after work because they could not wear costumes on the ride. They were able to ride it TEN TIMES yesterday.

I'm hoping it will be open for the 24hr party but I hope they don't wait until the evening to do so. My plan is to hit it early before it is a zoo.

It might soft-open, but it won't open until the 28th.
