SDFP: CHANGES COMING!! Beware the 7th of June?!

Im a DUMB newbie here. I get all the umbrella stuff- no problem as I will have my parents account I can get FP+ for.

My question is I have never transferred a fast pass before. How do o do this? Is there a " reassign" button??

It's easy. @ScrapYap included detailed instructions in the first post. Any attempt by me to explain would be inferior to the info there. Have a great trip!

I'm sorry to bog down with a question that is probably specific to me, and hope it might help others. Thank you in advance to "Genius Hiro", "SDFP Ph.D. Marcie" and my addition "Goddess Karrie" and to @otterpop and @CMNJ for their info (sorry and thanks to anyone I missed that contributed- my head is exploding).

I have 2 MDE accounts. I alternate reservations between the two (one year on one; next on the other). This was mainly for SDFP to keep things separate and not inadvertently create clones.

MDE 1: One MDE account has my upcoming reservation but I have not linked my Parksaver tickets. I manage all 5 people listed on this account and profiles have their real names.

MDE 2: Other MDE has 5 of us (with updated names to not match MDE 1) and 5 non expiring/non used tickets linked. MDE 2 also has 5 "friends" with different names that had been used for SDFP - no tickets.

To complicate things I have room only reservations on MDE 2 in addition to my families reservations on MDE 1.

My MDE 1 family is definitely going. I made reservations under MDE 2 in the hope that the extended family (nana and grandpa) will come. I don't know when I will know if I'm cancelling that reservation for a while.

Before 6/9 I would have booked 3 FP at 60 days under MDE 1 with admission tickets and 3 FP at 60 days on MDE 2 since they have tickets and reservations. 5 other phantoms on MDE 2 would have been used for SDFP but let's forget that.

Now the question:
Do I link my tickets to MDE 1 before June 6?
Do I "friend" MDE 1 and all people on MDE 2 before June 6 so I can use CDFP and should I be afraid of screwing it up.

Because you have each MDE set up correctly, you'll just need to Merge them either prior to your FP booking date or even after booking.

Linking MDEs will always be a MM+ feature so that won't be the focus of the system change.

my mil and great aunt in law are actually joining us on the trip but will likely only stay in the park for the afternoon and do 2 rides at most and some days just skip the parks.

If I book their 3rd fp for later in the day as something they won't ride and my dd's will can I then change that FP+ to my dd's bands so they could use it? (The "donor" MB has been used to enter the parks)

Alternately, the "nana's" decide not to visit the parks and we have FP+ booked - can we then transfer some/all of their fp+ to my kids as a 4th if the times are later? (The donor MB has not been used to enter the parks)

I think after reading the thread I can do both ... not sure?

Leaving in the AM for our trip. Planning to use regular SDFP 6/4, nothing 6/5, then trying CPFP 6/6 and beyond. If anyone hears that SDFP usage changes a few days early, please send a PM. I'd prefer not to get a locked acct! Thanks!

Could you schedule only one of your original three FPP then use the phantom donors to cpfp?

If I do a nbfp I eliminate the step of having to go to a kiosk correct?

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone here who shared their expertise! I now am the proud "mom" to a set of phantom twins who reside in my MDE for CPFP purposes. They each are ticketed and it seems like a fairly easy process. I'll know in July (and we might know much more before that!). I figure that I am not out any money if this whole things gets shut down but I really don't see how they would get rid of the "change party" feature. My real daughter is a bit concerned about my mental health because I keep referring to the twins and their FP's. "Are you alright Momma? You do know you have only one daughter not three? Right?"

1. Yes if you choose to do so

2. You can only do NBFP if you have at least 1 extra ticket. You cannot make NBFP (advance FP) without a ticket. You can only use the kiosks if you have no extra ticket

I will be using them today and tomorrow (6/3 & 6/4) regularly (or at least testing) so should know if anything is different and will post here - if you get any blips, please post here as well as I feel the same! 6/5 I will be testing only (so playing it safe) so can report. I will be relying on what people say 6/6 as I won't be in the parks but plan to head in 6/7 to check/test/confirm/refute what everyone is saying by then! Enjoy the weekend!

This will work at MK for any transferred FPs except the same one that you already did with your original FP. But at the other parks, this will only work if aren't trying to ride another Tier 1. You will need to use (or let expire) FPs for two Tier 2s (either prescheduled or transferred) before you will be able to transfer a second Tier 1.

Just had a quasi-related thought. I had planned on renting two DVC rooms, only one having DDP, and it would include a phantom. If someone in room 2 carried the phantom band into the park to use the dining credits, would it lock that account since it had no admission media tied to it?

I would speculate that Dining credits will not be tied to the pending update in any way. There are many restaurants outside the parks where Dining credits can be redeemed. I suppose Disney could separate its restaurants into two different classifications of in-park and outside-park, but I can't imagine they would do that. Of course, I could be wrong and nothing would actually surprise me at this point.
