So does that mean I'll be able to take my park ticket to a kiosk, preloaded with three advanced fastpasses, then actually use the same card to get three more? If so that's what I'll do as we haven't linked our tickets up yet :)

No, the park ticket will be used at the kiosks and your newly purchased MBs that you link to the real people will be used for park entry and FP lines.

An explanation of why the card sticks to the first person it was assigned to while the ticket entitlement can be reassigned and used by someone else (but not with the original card!) appears in red on the first page. Meanwhile, search for the word "door" on the first page for a reminder of the concept of a Disney entitlement.

This might be helpful to anyone who has a set of plastic ticket cards that they haven't yet linked to their MDE.

Ok so I need my park ticket for our advanced fastpasses and wristbands for the same day ones. Thanks a bundle.

Some kiosks are better to use than others. For some reason when you ask a CM where the nearest kiosk is, they will not direct you to the one by city hall or when at the AK, there is 1 in guest sevices as you enter the park... both are unmanned. And if you are familiar on how to work the kiosks, this should not be a problem.

I have some no expiring tickets from 2003 and 2004 with water parks left on them. I'm assuming I will need to get them changed to the new cards. Could I use those for SDFP if I don't link them to my account?

Yes; and do link them to phantoms in your MDE account.

Thank you for your help! Where do I do this. Can I do it at my hotel or do I need to go to a park where they sell tickets?

At any Guest Relations or a Ticket Booth. Your hotel Concierge may be able to exchange them for RFID cards.

Hiro's right - you definitely want to link them to phantoms after you trade them in for RFID cards. You may be surprised at the FP your MDE allows you to book on those cards.

They were probably originally park hoppers? Even though the park admission is used up, the MDE will probably allow you to book as many FP days as you originally had tickets for. So if they were six day hoppers, you can prebook six days of FP.

This does NOT mean you can enter the parks with those cards. They won't work for admission. But they will work at the FP entrances. So you may not need to bother with SDFP at all. You probably have a set of FP generators right there. Let us know what you're able to book and how it all works out. Sounds as though it will work very well!

Just be very careful that you link the old cards to phantoms, NOT to your real profiles. Because you won't be able to reassign partially used cards once they're linked.

Cool! I'll let you know. They were 6 or 7 day hopper plus with several waterpark visits We used the park days and have gradually used waterparks in later visits. In fact I found the copies of when I duplicated the backs of them in case they got lost.I know we have at least one waterpark left on them. I will go ahead and add our middle names to the MDE so I can link them easier.

Good am from WDW! I have a question that may have been addressed somewhere but i could find it... where are the closest kiosks at EPCOT and DHS when you enter the park in order to set up my SDFP?

Epcot: breezeway next to Mouse Gear
DHS: at the Hollywood Blvd. and Sunset intersection/near the Tip Board

I know I cannot modify a SDFP anymore from MDE.

Since the non ticketed magic band has to be linked to MDE to function, can I at least see the times I made?

If I am using a rouge card not tied to MDE, what are some suggestions on keeping up with what attractions and when the SDFP was made ?

How will they be able to use these in the future to get into a water park if they're attached to phantoms and can't be reassigned?
I have about 10 of these old 10 day non expire tickets with the water park entries not used yet. All park days have been used. Thanks for all your help.

I just want to make sure I understand how to take advantage of SDFP. We have park tickets linked to the magic bands we'll get for our November trip. We have already bought MVMCP tickets which are linked to our real names in my MDE account. It seems like the easiest/cheapest thing for us would be to borrow magic bands from friends who do not have an upcoming trip, in which case we would not have to link them to our MDE because they're already linked to their accounts. Once in the parks (after riding a few things at RD), I'll scan the borrowed MBs at a kiosk and make our SDFP selections. Since they're not linked to my MDE and won't show up on the app, I will need to take a picture of the kiosk screen after I finish my selections so that we can keep track of those extra FPs. (Knowing me, I will also set a reminder alarm on my phone because I'm totally dependent on it.)

Is it worth trying to get SDFP between 4-7 on the party night? This will be our first party.

You can change the name of the phantom to match the original name of the guest the ticket belonged to - who will presumably be using up the last day(s) on it. But you're not going to get asked to show ID at the waterpark entrance anyway.
