SDD Day 4 FP?

Has anyone ever seen no FPs available on Day 4 for SDD? That seems insane. I was online right at 7, booked FOP (Day 3) and 7DMT (Day 2) first and nothing for SDD at all!?!? I have a large group but even trying for a group of 2 came up with nothing.

Seems normal on my my experience over the past year ever since it opened (3 trips in Nov. 2018 - Aug. 2019) .. I only have gotten it on like Day 5+ .. and even then it was after noon for first availability. My other trips in 2019 I was not able to get one because we had shorter trips, so we had to just stick with Toy Story Mania.

The crazy tiering at DHS is supposed to help that, but people still gravitate to getting the newest ride as their Tier 1 choice.

That happened to me too. I wasn’t able to get one until HS modified their hours and then I got it for 9am on our day.

SDD was unavailable for 3 days into our trip, but was able to get it on day 7.

Yeah, I only grabbed SDD at 60+8 just to have it. It's our check out day and wasn't originally planning on doing a 2nd DHS day then. We'll see what we end up doing. I didn't want to not get it and have regrets.

We are going to HS 60+2 and I saw the last SDD FP+ when I logged on and it was gone by the time I clicked on it. Most heartbreaking experience. Now I'm just sitting around waiting for an hours extension to try to get one...

That happened to me in Feb but I didn't think about the go from last to first strategy. Still it looks like you did and still couldn't find it.

Don't forget that your day 4 is day 7 for someone checking in earlier, and they may have already taken the FP+ for that day before your window opened. This isn't at all unusual. But don't despair. I have had good luck getting the hard to obtain FP+ attractions on the day I'm in the park, by doing some persistent refreshing on MDE. Even if it is saying there are no FP+ for what you want, keep trying, and usually something will turn up. It is easier for a smaller group, so breaking your group up will help.

Same here. Family of three. Logged on at 7am 1/2 for a 3/2 - 3/9 trip (2 days MK, 2 days DHS, 1 day EP, 1 day AK). Second day at DHS is 3/6 (so 60+4, correct?) and there was nothing for FP SDD. It was the first thing I checked for. Looking like it'll be a rope drop ride for the second DHS day. Got every other ride we wanted with no problem and multiple times still available, including SDMT and FOP. Do people have the best luck finding open FP for something like this day of or is it just random?

I'm traveling solo and the first SDD timeslot for 60+4 was at 4pm. First day I checked, 7 am too. It was fine because I got it for another day, but that was 60+7!

Totally depends on time of year. I got a PM FP for 60+4 (day 5) for a September trip. People trying now for spring break are going to have a much harder time.

I ran into the same thing when planning a trip over Thanksgiving week. I think the addition of new resorts and including the Disney Springs hotels in the 60 day FP window have had a significant impact on availability. I hope you’re able to snag a FP before your trip!

Wow; that's just hard - Once Smuggler's Run goes FP it'll help. ROTR won't be in the mix for awhile methinks.

Do people have the best luck finding open FP for something like this day of or is it just random?

We went in December and stayed off-site, and there were no FP+ for the top attractions at 30 days. Granted it was just DH and me, but I got FP+ for everything we wanted on the day we were in that park. It takes some persistent refreshing in MDE, but it isn't that hard to get what your want on the day of.
