Very good point. Infact, I think that if you didn't have the operation but still went on your holiday you would still need to let your insurance company know. Your current ill health is now an existing (before you travel) condition...

You need to have peace of mind when you travel that any problems will be taken care of by your insurance company (and not put a financial burden on you)

Well that is a relief - still disturbing that your casualty department can't tell the difference between a boil and a tumour That must have been a LOT of worry for nothing.

Which asthma medication are you trialing Anna - I am about to try some new asthma medication and would like to avoid whatever it is they have put you on!

At least you can get back on with looking forward to your holiday

You may still want to follow up with your doctor before you go - get some anti-biotics to clear up the infection properly...
