Anyway 1 week today we should be landing at CDG, just about now. One night in Val d'Europe and then 6 nights at Cheyenne.

Very excited, even though and some of you will know my previous worries, the insurance company didn't pay out on Rob's motorbike theft and we had to go out and buy another and on top of that my car needed some work last week and landed me a hefty bill so my spending money has been drastically reduced, thank god we got the free dining offer !!!
and
My mum in law has been given the 15th July for her op, but she came around last night and told us in no uncertain terms not to cancel our holiday, bless her :flower3:

Sorry to hear the insurance didn't pay out. Really glad you're still able to go on your trip though :goodvibes

Must be time for a dance...

Have a great trip and try to let your worries go:thumbsup2 :dance3::yay::dance3::yay::dance3:

Damn insurance company :( I'll be going as you come back - can't wait to read about your trip Jill!!!

What a downer about the insurance  but like you said thank goodness for free dining so you're not having to worry about budgeting for food. Hope all goes well for your MIL.

Lovely news! :goodvibes So glad you are definitely on your way now - and seven nights too - fabulous. Pain about the insurance and car problems but I am sure you will be able to forget all about it once you are there. If my calculations are right you should be home very soon after MIL's operation too which will have worked out nearly ideal - hope all goes well for her. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! :cheer2:

Hope your MILs op goes well and that she is well.
Great that you have this trip to destress. Hope you have a great time.

Thanks everyone :thumbsup2
I'm hoping that MIL will go in on the 15th, have her op on the 16th, she probably won't be allowed any visitors that day anyway and we're back on 17th, too late to visit but I'm sure other family members will be able to cover that night.

I've been doing the "Aldi challenge" and OMG I think I've halved my grocery bill these last 2 months, surprising where you can save money when you suddenly have to. I've estimated we've about 100 euros/day, quite a bit of which is allocated for trains, buses and entry fees into museums etc. provided we're frugal with everything else we'll manage. As long as I get my Christmas bauble I can do without any other souveniers this time. :)

Only 4 days Jill :goodvibes. I hope your MIL makes a good recovery from her op and that you can relax and enjoy yourselves and not worry too much K

Hope your mil's op goes well and you have a fantastic time.
