We are going to SD prior to our cruise in LA. We will have 3 nights and were planning on doing the zoo. How long does it take? All day several hours. We want to do a harbor cruise that day too. How long for seaworld?

The zoo closes early (5 pm) except during the summer so you could do a harbor cruise afterward if you aren't too tired. The zoo is big and hilly and there's a lot of walking. Sea World, depending on the time of year and the day of the week, may close really early too. I guess you'd have to decide which shows you want to see at Sea World to determine how many hours. There are up to 6 different shows each day in the summer and you have to get seats early. So that really fills up the day. The zoo tends to be more flexible, as the shows aren't as important a part of the day (for us anyway).
SeaWorld is open later on weekends, but in the summer is open pretty late. I would plan on spending most if not all of the day at the zoo and SeaWorld.
I don't think the harbor cruises take more than a couple of hours, so like Juliana said, you could do that after the zoo.
Sea World for sure takes all day The Zoo does close early, but it's a lot of walking, and you might not be up for a boat ride. However, it would be a perfect add-on for that day. And if anything has to give, I'd say give up the cruise...
Have fun and enjoy San Diego. It's an awesome town!

It depends on how much zoo you and your family wants! My son went to SD for his make a wish trip, and he wasn't happy with the 2 days we spent at the zoo.. he wanted to go all week! LOL! Sea world was also a full day for us.
