We plan on doing Mickey's BBQ with the boys (if I can get res) and I was concerned about the dog. I'm not sure if I should take him or just leave him behind.
I *can* get by without him. I can leave him if I must or if it would be better for him. It's not my dog, it's my son's. And he knows that sometimes, for whatever reason, we leave him. Doesn't happen often, but it can be done. With heightened diligence, I can replace the dog for short periods of time.
I'm just wondering if we'd be better off not bringing him owing to the general out of control nature of the BBQ. He's small (about 13 inches/20 pounds... I need his nose, not his strength) and he always wears at least one beacon, sometimes two, as well as a highly reflective vest at night, but I still worry about him not being seen. There have been times in the main parks where I've picked him up quickly to save him from a stampede, I don't want to have to worry about this the whole time.
Since we can get by without him if need be, should I leave him behind for his safety and/or my general peace of mind? Would this question be better asked/answered in the dining section?
