I was wondering if we would be able to check our kids into the kids' club area (Scuttle's Cove) on CC while we go on an excursion. My husband and I would really like to do the nature walk and kayaking excursion, but I'm not sure if we would be allowed to leave our kids at Scuttle's Cove with no way of getting a hold of us during this time. I'm sure the kids (DS, 5 and DD, 5) wouldn't miss us, but I'm sure the CMs would like to be able to reach us in case anything happened. Has anyone ever done this?

Not 100% sure, but I think the pagers will reach you at CC.

Yes, the pagers work and you can do that. Just remember that SC closes early!! Check the navigators to tell you what time to be back. The kids have to be back on the ship so they can practice for the farewell program.

Yep, you can do this. The pagers will work just about anywhere on the island, and if there's a problem, you can just come back out of the excursion a bit early (the guides should be able to handle this easily). They ask that you tell them if you're going to be on an excursion so that they'll know to only page you if it's really necessary (i.e. sometimes kids will just want a coke, or some ice cream, and if you're just hanging on the beach, they'll page you but if you're on the excursion from 11 - 2, they'll try to hold the kid off until you're back).

Enjoy!

Thanks for your advice! It sounds like we will be able to go on our excursion. I am really looking forward to this vacation. We're looking forward to spending some quality time with the kids and away from the kids!
