I was wondering if anyone did the scuba dive adventure at Stuart Cove? My dh and brother would like to try it out.

Just bumping to the front again.

Hi,

My husband just did this dive over Halloween weekend. He really enjoyed it and has done many dives in bahamas and other islands in the caribbean. I think there were 2 dives in different locations. I he would recommend it to other divers. The kids and I did the dolphin encounter at Blue Lagoon while he was diving. I would recommend that excursion as well.

Thank you! I am thinking about taking the kids on the Dolphin excursion while they do the scuba dive. Did you do the Disney dolphin encounter or one on your own?

We registered through DCL. It is one of their offerings but operated by a private tour co. It is the Dolphin Encounter at Blue lagoon and they offer it for just an observer, encounter, or swim. With the encounter you stand on a platform in the water and the dolphin comes to you. It is supervised by a trainer. They take lots of pics and a video you can buy. Really neat. My kids are 8 and 7 and they loved it.

Like terribm, my DH did the dive while our DDs and I did the dolphin encounter. On our first cruise (6 years ago), DH did the dive, and said this time, it was much more "professionally" run. He really enjoyed it. And the girls and I really enjoyed the dolphin encounter again this time (we also did it 6 years ago). Both were arranged through DCL (which was a good thing, as DH got back from the dive with 20 minutes to spare before our dinner time).:)

DS and I have done the Shark Dive with SC. It was great. We booked it independent. They picked us up at the dock in a van. We brought all our own gear. If you need gear they have plenty.

SC is a large operation with lots of different dive options. The boats are not small, 6 packs, but they do provide good service.

They had us back to the ship in plenty of time. They are use to running cruise passengers so they know the routine.

IMO, The reefs around Nassau are okay, but nothing great which is why we did the special dive.

I would use them again.

Thank you scuba diver!
My husband is an expert diver, and wanted to try the skark dive. My brother is just a beginner so they are really going for the experience more than anything.

Thanks again everyone!
