As part of our character ed program, we show our entire 7th grade the 1970 musical "Scrooge" with Albert Finney. Of course, kids this age have never seen it and they are surprised at how much they like the music and dancing while still getting the important messages of compassion, forgiveness, and redemption. We have done this for about 6 years now and it really makes me feel good to share this with the kids. It's my favorite version of "A Christmas Carol". If you haven't seen it, I recommend renting it-don't try to catch it on cable; it's too chopped up. God Bless Us, Everyone!

That is also my favorite version of Scrooge. I haven't seen it in a couple of years though. I must be missing it when its on....
I think i'll hit the video store tomorrow!
