My wife and I are big fans of Ducktales and the other original Disney Afternoon shows. Aside from Gadget's Go-Coaster, are there any references to those shows at the parks, merchandise or otherwise?

Also, does Scrooge only come out at Christmastime or is there a chance we'll see him at Halloween?

Thanks!

Other than Chip and Dale's Tree House (not really Rescue Rangers) in Toontown, I can't think of any other possible references. I wonder if there have been any rare character sightings associated with these cartoons. I loved Tailspin and Darkwing Duck back in the day. :thumbsup2

Me too, and don't forget the Gummi Bears!

They have a "Duck Tales...Whoo-Hoo!" T-shirt at World of Disney last month (you can see it in the parks merch section on disneystore.com). It's pretty darn cute...I almost bought it for my dad!

All I am going to say is I am a huge Scrooge fan, he is my favorite and was at my wedding at WDW 12 years ago, and he needs way more representation in the parks and on merchandise. That's just my opinion but it looks like it is shared with at least one other on here.

I love the Disney Afternoon shows! I remember when they had the Gummi Bear boat ride at DL. And I have a picture of me next to a cut out of Chip and Dale as Rescue Rangers. I think it was only that one year (1991, I think) that they had Disney Afternoon stuff out. I still sing along when I hear some of those songs on my Disney CD collection. :)

I prefer the old Disney Channel morning line-up: Good Morning Mickey, Donald Duck Presents and Pooh Corner. I still sing the Good Morning Mickey song to my boys but trade out their names for Mickey.

I am pretty sure Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey and Louie were part of the Christmas parade last holiday season.

I think Goofy's Sky School should've been themed for Higher for Hire. Ah well.

I can't think of any references besides Gadget's Go-Coaster either. Max from Goof Troop has been seen for meet-and-greets (and I think he's in the Christmas parade), but that's not one of the original shows.

Gummi Bears! Bouncing here and there, and everywhere... High adventure that's beyond compare...... They are the Gummi Bears!

I have very fond childhood memories of waking up before 0630, on Saturday, just to watch the Gummi Bears. I loved that show.

Tail Spin would be in second place, followed by Ducktales and Chip 'n Dales Rescue Rangers. Great shows. I'd love for them all to have a little bit of presence in the Disney Parks. Even to just have the characters every now and then for meet and greets.

Ahh. I love gummi bears! I just recently intoduced it to my DD8. She was watching the episode called "sinister sculptor" and found a hidden mickey in it! Has anyone else found hidden references to other Disney characters in the old cartoons?

Where did you find them?! I LOVED the afternoon line up! Duck Tales was my all-time favorite! Loved them all though. I had hamsters named Chip and Dale.

There's an episode of Darkwing Duck where DW and Gosalyn go to a cartoon studio dressed as Donald Duck and one of the nephews

I have the DuckTales tee. I think there was a Rescue Rangers tee available, too.

I have a picture of me with Launchpad back in the days when ToonTown at WDW was still Mickey's Starland. I may or may not have been too old to be that excited about getting my picture with (and a kiss from) him! :)

My DD8 found it! Look for the Sculptures cart full of sculptures. You will see Mickey there. :-)

I too am a child of the 80's and loved gummi bears, duck tales and rescue rangers. A while back we found box sets of rescue rangers and duck tales we watch with our kids all the time at Costco. I have not found gummy bears yet but am always on the look out. You tube here I come later today.:drive:

Ducktales, Tail Spin, Rescue Rangers and Gummi Bears DVD's are all available online. I did a quick google search. Amazon.com has them.
