:surfweb: This is me. Lurking on the Disboards. Scoping out TR's and pics and trying to fill a void that only Disboards can.

Is it autumn yet? I am not one to wish a season away, but it is 102.5 here in Boston, and that kind of heat should only be associated with the World in the height of summer. While you are walking EPCOT with a Grey Goose Slushie. Not to mention that if it was Autumn, I would be getting ready for yet another trip home!

So...? No? Dang. :headache:

I am feeling the itch. You know what I mean, the itch that makes you daydream at the office, scope out the live feed from Boardwalk's pool, and makes you crunch numbers of all kinds, from DVC points/nights, to TIW discounts vs. DDP's, to how much you can save between now and then to make it a couple more nights than normal....

Yeah...you get me, dont you? :thumbsup2

I think this is going to be yet another adult's only trip for us. *holds back excitedness so I dont feel guilty*

My DS wont go without his gf, and she just got back. My hubs DD wont be able to go this time due to school so....:yay:

I want to go back to OKW, and since I do ALL the planning, I could just make it happen. But should I? I mean, maybe we should try another place? We have been to OKW, in a 1 bdrm and we have been to SSR in a studio and a 1 bdrm. I loved the studios at SSR, and dont really need a 1 bdrm for just the 2 of us but I dont think I would like the studio at OKW. It looks too much like a hotel room but totally get the convenience if we needed 2 beds!

If we WERE going to try another resort, what would you choose and why?

We went down last autumn during the F&W Festival - what fun! But do I want to do that again, or maybe try the Halloween holiday? Is it still fun if you dont have your little Trick or Treaters with you? Is going closer to Thanksgiving a good time? I know the Christmas decorations will be beginning to show up all over, although I do love the Fall.

I am open to any and all opinions, anything to get me talking about it and planning it!

If you are talking about THIS fall your choices will be very limited. I would call ASAP to see what is available and get on a waitlist for missing dates. Good luck!

We did MNSSHP 3 years ago and we loved it. Many guests dress up, cool parade and the trick or treating was fun. We grabbed tons of candy and closed the place late. Just go with it like a kid.

Yesterday I had some unexpected issues that caused me to need to change my reservation around a bit for mid-October - the CM I spoke with said availablity was REALLY limited already, but Animal Kingdom - both Kidani and Jambo house - still had availablity. We ADORE Kidani, it is SO nice and comfortable. If you haven't been there before, it might be worth checking out :)

I'm the worst at making decision! Since your trip is so close just call MS and see what's available. Whichever resort they say first..book that one! Let MS decide!

I am right there with you. I too am in the Boston area, just north. And I am so jonesing for a trip! Especially when it was about 20 degrees cooler in Orlando yesterday than it was in Boston!!! We are all booked for school vacation week in April, but now I am tying to finagle a trip in Oct. I love the thrill of looking at points charts, trying to work it all out! It's one of the best parts of DVC!!! The thrill of the chase!!!

you're right about that - but our travel dates are so flexible that we will see whats available and take what looks good for whichever dates are open. Last year, we had a choice of OKW, SSR and a split stay between BWV and BCV. It was our 1st trip home and I wanted our 'home' OKW, even though the EPCOT reseorts are coveted that time of year for F&W. Not knowing the ins and outs as a DVC'er, I was afraid to do a split saty the frist time around.

sounds like a blast, and I sure could go with it like a kid and be happy! Thanks! :thumbsup2

hiya Wendy!! :yay:

Now this is a great idea - a true adventure! I've noticed you just booked your THV! You must be SO excited and I cant wait to hear all about it! I would love to do that in the next couple of years and bring our niece and her family! Her soon to be born daughter is our Godchild and I cannot wait to introduce her into all that is the magic of Disney!! :goodvibes

Cant wait to read your PTR!

I completely agree with you all the way around!! Good luck in finding something! Maybe we will be there the same dates! :goodvibes
