What do you do with them?

In July I bought two BIG packages of pork chops on sale and froze most of them. I divided the packs into grill quality, pan quality and yuck. We've grilled and panned and now I'm left with yuck-thin and very scrappy. They're sitting in the fridge defrosting right now and dinner is in 10 hours.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Jennifer

I would prob do a stir fry with them, or maybe even some sort of pork stew or soup . We are having nice weather, not to hot for a stew.

Oh and btw.. HI NEIGHBOR lol . : )

I would dredge them in seasoned flour and pan fry with a little olive oil.

can you put them in the crock pot? I get the pork loin and cut them into chops and roasts and... as you say yuck :goodvibes. I usually cube them and put them in the crock pot with BBQ sauce and either shred them when done for sandwiches or just serve with sides.

Is there enough meat to throw in the slow cooker to make pulled pork for sandwiches?

Pork Chow Mein, pork fried rice, or throw them in the crock pot with bbq sauce and make pulled pork sandwiches.

Thanks everyone! Poked around the fridge and pantry-nothing for BBQ but I do have orange juice, pineapple, carrots and a green pepper. I think I'm going to do them in the crock-pot with a citrusy teriyaki sauce and serve it with some basmati rice. I'm not a fan but hubby loves sweetish main dishes.

I just want them gone! They've been in the freezer for two months staring at me every time I open the door. So far I've been ignoring them but it's crunch time ;)

If you have a box of scalloped or au gratin potatoes, you can use them for that. Just follow the directions on the potatoe box but put in a 9x13 pan. Then place chops on top and cook for the time on the potatoe box. Comes out great and is easy.:goodvibes

I HATE those scrappy pork chops! I usually cut the meat off of them and chop them up, and then do something with them. One quick (albeit unhealthy meal) I did was to fry them up and to make a sauce out of the ramen noodle packets. Then I cooked up the noodles, threw them in, and had a pork-chop noodle fest.

Slice one onion thin and saute in oil until softened. Remove from pan and brown pork that has been cut into small pieces. Remove pork chops and put the onions on the bottom of pan. Top with pork chop pieces. Peel and thinly slice two large potatoes. Put potatoes on top of meat. Mix a can of cream of mushroom soup with one soup can of water. Pour over potatoes, meat, and onions. Simmer until potatoes are done.

I grind them and make sausages out of them.
Usually we buy a whole pig a year and cut it ourselves. We make our own sausages and what not, any leftovers we grind and use either like that or as sausage

I thought about grinding them up for stuffed peppers or something-at least that was the plan when I put them in the freezer. I ended up rubbing them with 5 spice/ginger/Tony Chachere's and putting them in the crockpot with some teriyaki sauce and a bit of OJ. I'll add the pineapple, green pepper and carrots in a little while.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Jennifer

ETA: I forgot to say that I love pork chops smothered in onions but hubby doesn't like anything too oniony :-)
