Scrapping with Swapped Items Round 10: WE HAVE A WINNER

I need to upload some pics but DH is waiting on the PC so I'll do it later or tomorrow:thumbsup2

Some more of my pages - these I did before vacation, I haven't dealt with yesterdays yet but this takes me round or over the max anyway I think (lost track a bit  )

Thanks! As soon as I saw the Explore items I knew what I wanted to use them for - its taken me a bit of time to get round to it as those pics are 1996 so have lower priority than "family". But while I was waiting for the ABC and supersports stuff to come back I had a bit of time to get it done:thumbsup2

I probably have about 75 pages from this past wekend with swap items on them- almost all the pages I did were using swap items. I will begin to take pictures and upload them once I get unpacked. For now I am going to get over my cold and rest from the exhaustion of it all. It was great fun but very tiring.

Mazda- your pages look great- don't swap items make the pages so much faster to complete?

very good rebecca! so tell me something...... how much time did you actually spend scrapping this weekend?? is there someone in the room all night??

very good rebecca! so tell me something...... how much time did you actually spend scrapping this weekend?? is there someone in the room all night??

YOu can stay in the room all night and many did- lets see my scrapping time:
Friday: 10:30-1:00, 2:30-4:00, 6:30-6:45, 7:30-11:30
Saturday: 6:45-7:15, 9:30-1:30, 3:30-6:30, 7:30-11:00
Sunday: 9:00-9:20, 11:00-1:00

Those were the times I was on the scrap floor and most of my time was spent scrapping. I did take a break to help Buffy put the SDV books in order and I did walk around and talk a little while and I took a couple of breaks to look at things in the stores but most of that time I was scrapping, so I guess that is about 20 hours on the floor and probably 1 hour of that was talking, shopping, and getting things out and putting them away. I scraped 120 complete pages and 4 more need a little journaling or one more picture on them. I had already kits all of my pages.

I took my photos and embellishments(swap items) and layed them out. I choose out background paper and mating paper that worked with all of them. Then I placed the background paper in a 2 gallon bag and the pictures and embellishments into a quart ziploc. I put the quart ziplock in the 2 gallon bag. I did that same thing until I had about 10 pages per ziplock bag with the background and matting paper along with photos and embellishments. When I got there I would take out a the whole kit. Put down the background paper, figure out where things would go on the paper, then quickly mat the photos once, and then attached everything to the paper. All done with a layout, pull out the next kit and keep going.

So organized ... I would love to do that. I haven't been printing my photos. I will take me so long to go through the photos and decide on what to print...it just so depressing. I am completely unmotivated to do that part. Maybe after I see yours, I'll get inspired.

that is such a good idea. i'd love to try that. i'll have to remember that when i finally get around to doing something other than swapping!

I think I couldn't manage without swap items now - especially on those pages which "need" to be done but are hard because they're repeats (like birthdays) or you only have one or two pics. *** I certainly would never sit down and MAKE any of this stuff just for one page! That's why I love the colour swap - get those babies slapped down and the page does itself:thumbsup2

Waaaahooooeyy! I have pages. These are all 2 page layouts, we are doing 2 elements right?

That should be a total of 8 for me.

I think thats my tree tag on your AK page.

I love seeing how everyone uses the pieces that we all get. Usually they are in ways that I would have never thought of.
