If you only have DS's do you actively seek out the princesses for pics and then scrap a princess page?

I am pre scrapping for our Disney trip (it'll be my ds's first trip at 2.5 yo) and I am trying to figure out if I should make a princess page and if so how to do it so it is not so girly, KWIM?

HMMMM. I found your question quite interesting! My December trip was the first time in 21 years seeing it thru "Princess eyes".
I have three sons.
My daughter is 4. I don't have not one picture of any of my boys with a Princess! Funny how sexist was I? It just never occured to me!
Now that they are 21, 14, 10 I know it's absolutely out of the question!

So since he's a little guy, I would seek out mommy's favorite princess 1st.
You can scrap a page along those lines. Mommy holding DS posing with her favorite DP. Then you could do a "Flirting" page.
He's sure to like one the best. She can be the "future Princess wife"...
Ok, those are my silly ideas for the night!
Have Fun!
Kathy

It really depends on your son(s). My son isn't too interested in princesses, but so that mommy can get a princess fix every once in awhile, we do a princess meal... CRT/1900. So he puts up with it. He has a secret and shy liking for Cinderella, he always looks pleased to see her, but Belle/Aurora/anyone else... w/e girl go away!

Now when we went to 1900 PF.. oh in 2006 I think... there was another little boy about my son's age... 3-4 and he was a diehard Cinderella fan. He was running up and down the aisles yelling CINDERELLA.....

Ok, since I'm a sucker to show off my kid... here's a LO I did awhile back of when we went to CRT. He was still 2, about to turn 3 in a couple days. We saw Cinderella downstairs and once we got upstairs he essentially ignored the rest of the princesses... but he's got this certain Cinderella look... every time we see her...

I have 2 DS and they are not really interested in seeing the princesses although they posed for pictures the last time because I asked. ( This is probably the only time though! LOL) For the Cinderella page I used blue Cinderella pattern paper that I found at JoAnns. I used a pop dot and large Cindy sticker to keep it simple. I also like to double mat my photos. For Ariel in her Grotto I used green Ariel pattern paper with some tag stickers of Ariel and Flounder. I haven't scrapped the pix of Aurora yet because she is wearing pink and all the embellishments I have found for her are too girly.

Have a great trip!:wizard:

You could make a prince page instead -- I think DCVW has the Once Upon Stack that has some knight and prince pages that are not too girly. If you have the cricut, there is prince stuff on the Disney princess carts.

I have a great picture of my nephew from 1900 pf with Prince Charming that I am going to turn into a scrapbook page. Somehow, I have a feeling that Cinderella will make it on to that page for sure. See boys and princesses can mix. princess: pirate:

My ds7 cried when he saw the princess pages I had done for his book. He said he did not want princess pages in his book, so I had to convince him that they were "dinner" or "breakfast" pages! I don't think he bought it, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;)

BTW, ds6 did not care that he had the same pages in his book, so it just depends on the boy.

WE HAVE BEEN GOING TO WDW SINCE MY 1ST DS WAS 2 AND I WAS PREGERS. WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD A LEAST 1 SHOT W/ A PRINCESS IF WE CAME ACROSS ONE, BUT NEVER GOT IN A LONG LINE TO SEEK ONE OUT! NOW THEY ARE 8 AND 10, I STILL DO A SHOT NOW AND AGAIN, BUT SAVE MOST OF THE PRINCESS LO FOR RIDES OR CASTLE! THAT WAY I CAN STILL USE THE GREAT PRINCESS STUFF!

Okay I had to respond to your question. I have 1 son and he is 5 and for the past 2 trips he loves seeing the princesses. We have seen most if not all of them on every trip. On one of the layouts I used letters saying "So many Princesses... So Little Time" and picture with each of the Princesses. My last trip each Princess got their own page because I had too many cute pictures to choose from. He walked up to each Princess and told them he was collecting Princess Kisses and could he get one for her. Of course they all said yes. That was at least one picture on the page. I don't know how to put pictures in my posts so I can't show you.

MY daughter is very sporty and tomboyish.
we took photos with the princess statues at DTD and i did a "so, not a princess" page. There are stickers for this although i did use the princess paper. It turned out fantastic (even if i do say so myself!!)

we are going to the Pirate and Princess party in May. My 6 yo DS said " I better not see any princess at this party, grrrrr" :rotfl2: He tells me I'm the only girl he likes but I'm not really a girl.

I did a "Someday My Prince Will Come" page with my DH's pic with the lineup of princesses shot from... EPCOT, I think. He's kneeling and all of the princesses are gathered around him - a green screen kind of shot where they drop the princesses in. He loves it!

Now that they are 21, 14, 10 I know it's absolutely out of the question!

Mine have become re-interested since reaching that age. ;)
Although they are too old to stand in line waiting. Now they just grab the camera and take pictures of some of the princesses.

I have 1 DD and 3 DS. When the boys are little (2 or 3) I think it's really cute to get pictures of them kissing the princess. We have a cute one of my DS when he was 15 months puckering up to Belle and then turning a way all shy looking. At that age they don't care if it's girly. He was also very familiar with the princess because my DD was so into all the princess movies. Of course he went nutz for Buzz Lightyear.
