i'm new at this and i was wondering

What kind of scrapbook do you use??

disney scrapbook
plain scrap book
plain then blind them toghter your self
etc...

what the best?

opinons please

I mostly use post bound albums. I do thick scrapbooks so the post ones are nice because you can add more posts to them. I own a few Disney albums from WDW and they are not holding up well. I have not tried the Disney ones from Michael's and ACMoore yet but I think they will be my next purchase.

I use Creative Memory albums exclusively. Right now I am working on my third 12 x 12 Disney album of theirs.

I'm just waiting for 1 August when CM UK will have the 12" Mickey album available! Oh OK, I'll buy the punch too. And the Mickey album kit. :rolleyes1

I use CM only. I have 25 or so. Most are filled. I'm still working on some. I haven't bought a CM Mickey one for me yet, but I did get one for my MIL.

I buy one post bound album for the year's events and one from DisneyWorld for our trips (we live close and go several times a year). I also do special event albums (10th anniversary for DH, ABC for daughter, etc.), which are almost more fun than the everyday stuff because they are different.

Creative Memories (CM) as refered by other posters, is the best quality.

They are hand made in USA by leading scrapbook experts. The materials are tested for long term photo safety (at least 40 years) and album covers are guaranteed for a life time.

Used to be CM consultant. There were several times that I had customers album covers partially or fully replaced. No questions asked.

I even had a new customer whose child scribbled on hers with crayons. They sent a new one right away and didn't even require proof, or the old one. They took my word.

I'm not a consultant anymore, but I wouldn't buy any other album for my own scrapbooks.

Go to creativememories.com to find a consultant near you.

I like the CM quality of their albums.. (don't care for their "style" or ideas about how to scrap..lol) But, their album quality is great.
Whatever you do, just invest in GOOD albums. When i first started scrapping (5 yrs ago) i made a HUGE mistake of buying the cheap store brand (AC Moore) albums, and i got what i paid for! They all fell apart. Now, i only buy good quality.. they may cost more, but if you think about the cost of replacing all the ones that fell apart, it is worth it!

I too use Creative Memories... exclusively! I love the quality and guarantee that come with their albums.

I used the 7x7 red Disney albums for my kids autograph/scrapbooks for our last trip and will do the same for our upcoming trip. I used the 12x12 black window album for our 'family' album of our Disney trip- this time I'll be using the new 12x12 Disney album that came out in May along with all the great new Disney products they carry.

I just can't say enough about the quality of their products. My FIL always says "It only costs a little more to go first class.", and, IMO, CM is first class all the way! :thumbsup2

I'm so glad you asked this question! I've only used CM albums and was going to switch to something cheaper when these got filled up. After reading these posts, I think I'll just stick to what's been working for me! :thumbsup2

Forgot to mention, i too use the 7x7 cm books for the autograph books.. They hold together great after being lugged around the parks for a week!!

I like the post bound albums because if you need to add pages or expand the album you can. Also you can put spacers in the spine so if you use fat embelishments your album will still lay flat.

I just bought my first Disney album from a Micheal's type store. I don't know how well it is going to hold up yet. I have bought albums from Close to My Heart before and they have held up well. They have a range of albums and some are not as expensive as CM, but the cheaper ones have an open spine which some people don't like.

I only use WDW scrapbooks to scrap my trips. Each year, Disney puts out a new one with the year on the cover. I always get those - except for this year. This year's was not a post-bound album like previous years...it was more like a 3 ring binder.

I do things very differently. I have a couple post bound albums that I did for specific topics, but I mainly scrap 8.5 x 11 so I scrap directly onto paper, put them into page protectors then store them in 3 ring photo albums or 3 ring binders that I've decorated the outside of.

Eventually I think I will transition over to 12 x 12 but this works for me right now, especially because I was not scrapping chronologically when I first started so I couldn't commit to using a real album start to finish.

I also exclusively use Creative Memories scrapbooks. I just LOVE them. I was a consultant for CM for a little over a year, so I did stock up on my inventory before I stopped doing it :rlol:

I also love post-bound, but I switch the posts to the snap-lock by Pioneer. It works easier and I do not need a screwdriver to add pages!

I really love the 'perfect scrapbook' by Colorbok. They are very sturdy, you can get them with coupons at Joann's and they don't change the sizes every time they change the albums, so you can easily find the refills if you decide to add more pages at a later date.

I also love post-bound but when I tried the snap-locks they didnt stay on. They were fine at the beginning but after a few times looking through the albums, they popped off.

While I'm a CM fan, I really like these albums also. My 12x12 layouts slide right in and fit well. I found one at Big Lots for $5!
