Are there any scrapbookers out there? I'm looking for ideas and fellow croppers!

I am a scrapbooker! I actually belong to a Wed. night group here in teh Boston area! don't get to attend more than 1/month but I try hard to make it more!

I use Creative Memory books and products but not exclusively!

We are going on our first cruise in Dec. and I am putting a request for a custom book right now!

Would love to correspond!

Andy,
You are far too knowledgeable for someone who has only been on one Cruise. I'm thinking in a former life you had to be on at least 100.

My dad was in the Navy, I was born at a Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia and I come from a long line of fishermen, which is quite funny, b/c I don't like to fish, and my favorite color is blue, like the ocean. I also forgot to mention, I work for the water company!!! :rotfl:

Hi -

I'm a scrapbooker. I actually just finished my scrapbook of my cruise on the Wonder last year. I haven't had the time to post any of my pages yet, but as soon as I do, I will post a thread to let everyone know where they can see them. :)

Perhaps I'll find time this weekend, there are also some great ideas on Two Peas. And joining a local crop night is a great way to get new ideas and feedback. If we lived closer, I'd invite you to the one I go to on thursday nights, but I'm in Northern VA. But most scrapbook stores offer some sort of crop night or get together.

Have fun!

so THAT'S why you look so at home on that verandah!! and with Nate's hat on too!!

Ladies, Andy is correct, there is a whole forum on scrapbooking, if you find this thread over there, it's because the mods have moved it to the appropriate forum.. You'll find all sorts of info there and you could also subscribe to it or put it in your favorites.

I have been stocking up on my DIS scrapbooking supplies, can't wait to get on the ship and get the DCL cruise line kit... I don't care that it's something like $20-25?? it's the memories that count.

Please join us on the scrapping board! We talk cruise scrapping all the time! I purchased the kit on the Magic and love the Captain Mickey stickers and die cuts! Also, you might check out http:www.mousememories.com we do alot of shopping there!:wave2:

I made a scrapbook of my cruise in January 2003 and it came out great - or so I am told! Remember to save all your tickets (Like character breakfast) luggage tags....EVERYTHING! I was able to use a lot of that stuff creatively in my book, and it definitely added to it. Since my last cruise I got a pair of the mickey edger scissors that they have in the World and DTD. I can't wait to use them! I also got some great stickers at AC Moore that are Disney. Now all I need is the pictures! I will have to wiat until after my cruise in Novermber for those...

Do go to the scrapbook forum, those people are very energetic and knowledgable.

I just bought a Sizzix machine, so I am having a great time with that - but saddly they do not make Disney dies.....:(

Oh yeah....when I was on the Magic in January they were out of the DCL kit, so they told me to call the merchandise #. When I did I was told it was only available on the ships...:( It made me sad, so try to get your FIRST thing so they don't run out.

First welcome to the boards. And yes, please come join us over at the Scrapbook board. You won't find a better group of people to hang out with ( of course the people here at the cruise board are pretty nice also ). :D Hope to see you over there soon.

If you are looking for a website for great papers, diecuts, embellishments, etc. - www.scrapyourtrip.com is wonderful! They have special sections for cruises, amusement parks - lots of Disney stuff, outdoors, military , etc.

I have ordered from them twice and they ship promptly!

The last 3 years they had 8 1/2 x 11 books that came with page protectors, cut outs, and stickers. The cruise books are what got me started in scrapbooking. I do a lot with digital pictures and like the little extras that come with this kit. Think it was $25.

Great - never would have thought to find scrapbook kit on the ship -- can't wait to get started!! (I guess that will be my New Year's resolution - find more time to scrap!)

I just got started scrapbooking and I love it. I am going to start a scrapper night at our new scrapbook store. I hope to learn a lot. I did try to make a scrap book from our last Disney trip, but I only got two pages done and it took me hours to do them. Anyway, can I buy one of these kits that everyone is talking about on the Wonder?

Anna

I read somewhere that the kits are available in the gift shop on the cruise. I also read that you should get one early, becuase they tend to sell out.

When are you cruising, Anna?

We are taking the 3 day land and 4 day sea package which starts on May 13, 2004. The cruise part of the trip starts May 16, 2004. How about you?
