Hi all,
I like many others are into this scrapbooking rage! I read about a scrapbooking supply store (I think at MK). Does anyone know the name of it? What is it like? Are there any amazing scrapbooking stores in Orlando or at WDW. I want to get a cool 12 x 12 album and other fun things.
Thanks all fellow scrappers!

I didn't notice a whole store for scrapbooking supplies but I think they have supplies in what seems like every store!

That is the 12x12 scrapbook I got. I bought paper too but I don't think I'll use it.

That is WAY COOL. I'm not a scrapbooker generally, but I have many friends that do so I always check out the supplies. If I had seen that scrapbook on my last trip I would have bought a whole kit, hehe - I'll look out for it next time.

They are about to open a new store totally dedicated to scrapbooking at the Mall Of The Millenia at I-4 and Conroy Rd here. It hasn't opened yet, but should be open in about a month.

is the same on my sister bought for me as a gift in February. Once home, I realized it had odd sized pages...11 x 11.75. I had to order another one through mail order (took a ton of pics) and it came with 12 x 12 pages in it...after I had completed all of the pages in the 11 x 11.75 size. So, be sure to check that before you start doing your pages! I did find some refill pages for the 11 x 11.75 size, but they are very different from the ones in the first scrapbook, and Disney would not tell me where to find the same ones.

My mom and I were really excited about visiting the scrapbooking store at Downtown Disney (located near Rainforest Cafe and the Christmas store I think.) We were both disappointed. Just about everything they sold was available at the POR gift shop (and a zillion other places around the World.) Most of the stuff in the store consisted of the character-related pens, notepads and postcards that you can find at any Disney World store. We were hoping to find individual papers, stickers, die cuts, etc., but they didn't exist. My local hole-in-the-wall scrapbook store has WAY more individual Disney stuff than the store at Downtown Disney!

oh no! I was so hoping the DTD scrap store would have more than my LSS!!! bummer! We have Archivers here and they have a whole wall of stuff! I was hoping to find a fun book...I've always used CM books...willing to go out on a limb here & buy a disney one I think...

From allearsnet.com...

"Disney's Wonderful World of Memories offers a new collection of Walt Disney World-branded scrapbook supplies, including albums, pre-packaged kits, adhesive tape pens, glue sticks, scissors, and a wide assortment of colorful Disney stickers. Also available are Disney books, stationery, pens and postcards, plus several stations where guests can create scrapbook pages and postcards. Located next to Art of Disney and replaces the 2R's Reading and Riting shop."

We visited the shop last trip and it was alot of fun, but they do sell scrapbooking supplies at all of the theme parks and most resort gift shops (i.e. The Emporium at the MK, Mousegear at Epcot, etc...). I actually got alot of Walt Disney World specific items at Mousegear, they had tons of stuff! It seemed like throughout the World, I saw different items everywhere I looked! I also got alot of Disney and Disney World stickers and papers at my local scrapbooking store, they are done by SandyLion and EK Success... mousememories.com is a great site to check out!

Have fun! I love to scrap our Disney trips, it keeps them fresh in my mind until the time for our next trip rolls around!

Also, you can find tons of Disney scrapbooking supplies at AC Moore. Our local AC Moore has several different lines of Disney supplies. In fact, last week all their Disney supplies were 40% off. We stocked up. I know shopping at AC Moore at home is a TAD different than shopping at Disney, but sometimes you just have to make do.

for your postings. I am so excited to check out the stores.
Here in Toronto we are very limited to some local store which are way to expensive and Michaels which tends to have the same old thing.
I erally need to check out Jo-annes and AC Moore since everyone in the US talks about them (we do not have those stores here).
Thanks again everyone and happy scrapping! :flower:

Just a warning - on my last trip, I bought the Mickey shaped eyelets (red, yellow and black all in one pack) - they DON'T work. They won't spread out to grab the paper.

Also, my CM consultant told me that they are discontinuing all Disney - Disney is pulling back on the licence or something. Hope that's not true for all the lines of Disney stuff. With the post above mentioning 40% at one place, makes me wonder if they are clearing it.

yes---archivers has thebest overall selection----but if you're gonna be @ DTD Disney anyway its fun to look in that store. Our HObby Lobby has a good selelction -& our Walmart just got in a cute princess album--pink of course....

Thanks for the heads up! I'll check mine out now!

LisaBi - My aunt does CM, I'll have to ask her about that...

:cool1:

I own a scrapbook store in California  and I can't wait to see what they have in WDW!!

It's great to see so many scrapbookers on this board.

I was there the last of May. I also have the book that there is a picture of, it is wooden and is great, all but the 32.00$ it will set you back. One of the gift stores at the Contemparary (4th) floor had one of the best selections i seen in any hotel. Did not make it to DTD to look in the store there. If you have a car there you should check out the chain stores to see what they carry and there price before buying, if you have the time. I got one of the packets for 2003 at a discount price at one. I was not doing scrapbooking then so this was a real treat. You never know what you can find untill you look!!!!!! I hate time it is a 4 letter word :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

cascarlet - Don't get too excited about that DTD scrapbook store! I couldn't wait to go there either and I was really disappointed...in fact I only bought 2 or 3 things (sticker sheets) and believe me that is saying something, because I was prepared to clean them out! :rotfl:

I just do not understand why Disney can't seem to get with the scrapbooking "program" -- EVERY scrap store I know has a Disney section and as soon as new stuff shows up...it's gone. If Disney would really put some thought into their theme park lines they would clean up! The possibilities for park specific scrapbook items are ENDLESS! -- So far though, Disney has yet to even discover clear backed stickers.

Do check out MouseMemories.com though. I just placed an order with them,
they just got a bunch of new stuff in from EK Success. :teeth:

Well I have seen what they have in DL and it really isn't much. It's true, we carry more Disney related papers and embellishments then they do at DL, I thought that WDW would have more.

I do love the albums, but they are a little pricey!

We have all the new stuff from EK!! I LOVE IT!!

This is a thread on another board. It has pages you can print to help with your scrapbook. They are for kids but they make great things for you to have when keeping a travel journal. If you go to page 4, someone has put a lot of links there. Never know what you can use in a scrapbook. The coloring pages help if you can't find stickers you want. Copy, paste, paint on computer, print, and glue. not as hard as it sounds the cutting takes the longest. :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=429399
