Can anyone give me an update as to whether or not this store survived the past year in marketing? I am really getting into my scrapbook from last year and am anticipating doing another this year.
Anyone have any pictures of what they sell, too?
Thanks.::MickeyMo

I can't give you an update but I have some pics of the store on my Epson Photo Site. Just click on the online albums link below.

Thank you, this is just what I was looking for!!
I'm sure with scrapbooking becoming so popular it has been very lucrative for disney. I know it'll be expensive, but hey, who cares...it's vacation money!!;)

It was still there in May when we were there...I definitely hope it survives too, I LOVE it!!!

The scrapbook store is still there. You don't need to make a special trip because resort gift shops, shops in the park sell the same merchandise as the scrapbooking store.

Slowly they are getting more and more merchandise but still think you can find more Disney scrapbooking supplies at other places than Disney.

Don't mean to disappoint you, but the store (as of June) is not very exciting. :( Disney has really missed the boat (so far) on the scrapbooking craze in their store. The products they sell could be MUCH better. There are some things you can only get at the parks - but you can get them AT the parks and not just at this store.

But it is fun to go look around.....

I sorta agree with JESW. The WDW locations do seem to have resort-themed items that other places don't have. You can also get Disney paper from www.paperwishes.com and many other online scrapbook stores.

Wow...I saw a Disney princess scrapbook here and told DH I wanted it for Christmas to do up the trip....forget it, I'll just chalk it up to souvenirs from the trip and get it at the resorts and World of Memories!

What a beautiful window display it is!

DW is a dedicated scrapper and says the same thing as JESW. She says Disney missed the boat on the whole phenomenon. Too bad for Disney. That's a major mistake:confused:

I am sure they are doing well in the licensing dept with all the other scrapbooking companies.

I agree with the above posters. My main disappontment was the paper. I was very interested in several designs....but they were sold by the "pack", and I couldn't justify purchasing a lot of papers I wouldn't use.

I would have also LOVED to see some layouts thoughout the store, using their products. If people see how to use the products in different ways, it encourages them to buy something they might not have even considered.:earseek:

I think Disney (or someone else....) also needs to produce a really good idea book. I work at a scrapbook store....you'd be surprised how many people I see every MONTH that are working on pages from their trip to Disney. It would be so fun to have a new idea book, fresh full of fun ways to use ALL those pictures we all take from our vacations to Disney. ::MickeyMo

I think the store in DTD could be SO MUCH BETTER!!!!

I'm bringing back an old post of mine from 2004---

OK, so what is new since 2004 in the scrapbooking store at DTD? We did Disneyland in 2005 and are going back to WDW this fall. Thanks.
