How do you Scrap a newspaper article? Do you just glue it to the page or do you do something different? My DS was recently in the paper with his Kindergarten class and I wanted to save the article (they released 5 Monarch Butterflies that they had since School started. They watched them everyday turn from a Caterpillar into a butterfly) and the picture of the class, but I don't want it to look sloppy or have the glue run through the back of the clipping, so was wondering what you all did? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Newsprint gets so yellow and brittle, I suggest you scan and print or make a copy for the scrapbook. Also, I think you might be able to laminate it.

I would do both, if you can laminate it, that's great, but also take a photocopy just to be on the safe side.

I have to say though, that we have a lot of newspaper clippings from when my dad was younger (1960s) that have been stuck in to an old-fashioned scrapbook with sellotape, and although they are quite yellow, they are certainly readable.

make a color copy onto some photo safe paper. Scrap that as you would anything else. Then get some photo mounting sleeves and place the original article in that.

Thanks for all the great ideas, I knew you all would know what to do! :) I think I am going to laminate it and put it in that way...after making a photo copy of it...

Thanks again! Great ideas! :)
