DH has been offered a job in Minneapolis, so in the midst of my research on the area I'm wondering about crops and stores in that area. Does anyone have info? Thanks, Cheryl:goodvibes

There are a few Archivers and also 5-6 lss in the St Paul Mpls area. Most of them offer crops, mostly on weekends for the day or evening.

They have a huge crop in the Mall of America once a year. My gf is a CMC there, but she also takes classes at her LSS - She lives in Savage - which she likes better than the classes in Archivers. When you find out where you're going to live, I'll ask her for addresses for you.

If you go a little further north out of Mpls/St. Paul, Central MN has a couple of great stores with crops on several weekends.

Hey angelmom where are you located? It is nice to see a fellow Minnesotan

My best friend, a huge scrapbooking fanatic lives in BLoomington, the home of the Mall of America. I've gone to visit her to do scrapbooking weeks and we visit a new store (or two or three) everyday. As others have stated, there's an archivers there as well as one in a mall fairly nearby. My favorite store is called Scrapbooks Too, also in Bloomington. It's on the corner of Old Shakopee and France (or Frances?) Avenue. It's not the largest store (Archivers is 3 times larger,) but the people there are great and they'll special order for you and they have lots of Quickutz. THey used to have lots of Sizzix, but I don't think they do anymore. I haven't been there since June, so I don't know what has changed. I'm jealous of my friend because she has SO many stores there, many more than I do in suburban Maryland. She thinks that's because it's so cold for so long, they have to figure out something to do inside. I'd LOVE to move there, though!

There are several places in MN that offer scrapbook retreats. My favorite is at Cozy Bay Resort, north of Brainerd.

Up here in Maple Grove (a suburb northwest of Minneapolis) we have both Archivers and Joanne's. Although I am a CM diehard, I stop into both stores once in a while as they have a great selection and the Archivers also hosts crops.

Be sure to PM me if you end up in the Maple Gove area. I would be happy to help you get acclimated. We actually moved here from New Mexico ourselves about 11 years ago, so I know what its like.

another vote for scrapbooks too in bloomington! It's just a minute or two from my college!!!

I also LOVE archivers. but i spend SO much money there:)

i've noticed that Michaels has quite a decent amount of scrapbooking stuff too. I'm sure all of the michaels stores are similar, but the Eden Prairie location is the one i go to:)
