scrapbooking help needed :)

Hi

Can anyone recommend any craft shops selling scrapbooking items or any internet sites in orlando, especially K & Co and Disney items, around the international drive and kissimmee area.

Also it would be helpful if you could recommend any scrapbooks for a beginner and where they can be purchased from.

If you have a craft store named Michaels, that is where I would begin. At our store here in Michigan, they have a good selection of stickers and disney scrapbook paper. Have fun scrapping!!

www.mousememories.com is a great place to buy from. They are located in Kissimmee but don't have a store you can visit.

There is a scrapbook store at DTD. They have many scrapbook items.

as mentioned there is one @ DTD near Rainforest & the Christmas shop. FOr other specifc ones go ask on the message boards here: www.twopeasinabucket.com they are VERY informative---but WARNING you WILL get addicted to the site!!!

AS far as beginning scrapbooks it depends on if it's an adult or kid....I personally like the books sold from Creative memories--only can be bought through a consultant & are about $25 + a piece...BUT I"D NEVER spend that for dd7's book---hers came from HObby LObby on one of the 40% of sales. There are all types of books out there it's really just personal preference- but if you go on that sight & type under search albums you can read people's comments on the different albums out there. I would pick up 1 of the magazines out there for tips too...there are TONS but my favorite is --oh my---forgot the name---hold on - it'll come to me---it's something like Quick scrapbooking - anyway you can buy it @ Walmart.

Walmart has a lot of stuff for beginners back in the craft section - acutually a lot of stuff for non beginners as well - that's really & easy way to start & dabble & not be real expensive = I would go buy 1 of their paper packs & start playing.

The paper packs at Disney (themed & colored paper) is pretty high ($15!) AND eveyone carries SOME DIsney scrapbook stuff so you dont' have to buy there...
