I AM WANTING A OFFICAL DISNEY ALBUM. DO THEY SELL THEM ON BOARD? DO THEY SELL ANY SCRAPBOOKING PRODUCTS?

You may want to post this over on the Hobbies board. They might have some ideas. I had heard that Disney was opening a scrapbook store in DD. That would be too cool!

As a fellow scrapbooker, I have found the Recipes & Scrapbooks Forum in the "Just For Fun" section of these boards to be very helpful. I'm sure you can get answers to any of your questions or requests there.

Happy Scrapping

In January, on the Magic, they were selling an 8x10 scrapbook kit...nothing in the 12 x12 size, so I didn't buy it.

In 2001 and 2002, June I purchased for $25 on the ship the Disney Scrapbook. It has plastic sleeves, colored pages, white cardstock pages, stickers, character framing things and lots of other nice character pictures to put in with your pictures. Well worth it. I also saved brochures, tickets, documents, whatever I could to put in the book.

We just got our catalog of items you can order to have waiting for you on board ship and there were several scrapbook kits available. I like to use 12 x 12 albums too so I don't think I'll be getting one but I'd like to take a look at them if they are in the gift shops on board. I will probably do a Creative Memories one to match the two I have full of Disney World Vacation pictures! I took 27 rolls on our last one week trip in October 2001. People ask me how I can take so many pictures on a trip and I want to know how you cannot! There is just so much to take photos of and I am not going to get there all that often!

This is such a great thread!

I just bought my first batch of scrapbook materials, includig a paper trimmer and corner rounder. We also took many great pictures during our first WDW/Wonder vacation, and I didn't want to just leave them sitting in a box.

I hope they are still selling the scrapbook set on the ship in January, as I have not found a lot of Disney stuff out there. Maybe I will check the Creative Memories website.

Archimomma...if you don't mind my asking, how did you get the catalogue? Did you have to order it or did it come w/ your paperwork for the cruise? Thanks, Kim

Timon, I took you up on your invitation to go to your website. I haven't gotten further than the pages from your Magic cruise but they are Very nice. I really like your creative style. That being said, can you tell me where you got the cruise appropriate Disney character die cuts? They are too cute. I have till the middle of February until our first cruise, but I've already started collecting scrap supplies and I'd love to be able to include the die cuts.

THANK TOU EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!!

I HAVE FOUND A PLACE FOR GREAT SCRAPBOOKING MATERIAL GO TO THE DIS BOARDS GO DOWN TO THE JUST FOR FUN SECTION THERE IS A THREAD CALLED RECIPES & SCRAPBOOKING FORUM.
IT IS GREAT!

I have purchased beautiful Disney scrapbook materials from my local shop (www.lighthousescrapbooking.com). They have papers, die cuts, etc. Not sure if they do mail order from the site... Sandy Lion has the license for Disney scrapbook accessories:http://www.sandylion.com/scrapbook.html. I just bought a Cinderella spread, it has a castle, borders, lettering, stickers, everything. Now I just need to do it!!

I did pick up a 12 x 12 DCL scrapbook on our 2000 cruise. Just be careful in the way you put those pages together because they are metrically square but a teeny bit different on the old inch system.

Also any scrapbooking store that has Klever Kuts will now have the Disney Cruise cut out for title pages.

I'm off to the Scrapbooking forum!

Check the Creative Memories website - they just came out with a "Disney Combo Pack" a few months ago!

I forgot one other IMPORTANT place: Ebay! Use scrapbook & disney as the search.

TeamMom011,

The Disney characters are actually postcards I picked up on the ship. I just backed them with cardstock for archival quality and they worked out great! I got the same kind from WDW and used them in my WDW 2002 scrapbook. Actually, the idea came from SplshMtn99 over on the Scrapbook forum. There;s a lot of great people over there...if you ever need help...that's where we will be :)

Timon - you are an UNBELIEVABLE scrapbooker! Do you mind if I share your pages with the owner of my local shop? If you are not doing this professionally, you have missed your calling. WOW!

Couple of questions: do you use a software program to do your journaling? Also, how did you do the letters for your MAGIC AWAITS title? And the borders? Oh my gosh. Beautiful. I am gushing. I am envious. You are my personal scrapbook queen.

LOL mcnuss!!!

Well, thank you for the WONDERFUL compliments!!! I posted them to share with everyone, so feel free to show them to anyone who would be interested. My husband believes I should be doing it for a living too and pressured me into making a flyer and I showed it to many people, but I didn't get any takers. Scrapbooking is an expensive hobby, and I think only those who are INTO it will pay that kind of money for it. If I could do it for a living....sigh...that would be the life cus I LOVE scrapping!

Most of my titles are done in MS Word and most of my journaling is done with Creating Keepsakes Creative Lettering Software. Although, I just bought the Journaling Genie last week and I think I will be using that a lot too.

Magic Awaits was done by tearing 3 colors of cardstock and then glueing them together. The I took an alphabet template and traced the letters Magic Awaits over where the tears are and then I cut the letters out.
The border on that page was actually funny....I just got some chalks for the first time that day and was just practicing with a small wavy template I bought. I was using some extra vellum I had laying around and I thought it turned out pretty. The page I was doing at the time was Magic Awaits so I tried to incorporate it into my page, so after putting some matching cardstock behind it, it kinda worked out, so I kept it on my page :)

My cruise scrapbook was only my 5 th album I've done and they had all been from vacations so a couple of months ago, I decided to start scrapping my "real life". So that is what I am working on now, starting with with I met my hubby. I just finished an album and about to start my next one tomorrow. When I get more time I think I will post them too but I was debating on that one...vacations are much more fun to see than everyday life.

Again...thanks for the great feedback!

Brittsmom, I got the catalog with my first batch of cruise documents. It came with the shore excursions and the statement of our account. I've been told these are posted online somewhere, sorry I don't remember where. I'm sure the Disney folks would be happy to send you one!

Just got back from Disney World and all the photo shops of some great scrapbooking stuff.

Wonderful pages and stickers - great stuff.
