Are there any really god scrapbooking stores in Orlando? We will be down there in early November, and DH is attending a meeting, so I have a couple of days that I am free to do as I wish.

In my area I have a really good Joanns, a really bad Joanns, Michaels and an Archivers very close to home. I also have an AC Moore, but I went in there for the first time in a long, long time and they had remodeled and were totally different. Before they had many many ink types, lots of brands of stamp pads and tons of Tim Holtz stuff. Now there seems to only one brand of stamp pad and very little Tim Holtz. They do seem to have a larger variety of paper now, maybe better quality, too, lots of K and Company, which I love.

I also have a Hobby Lobby that is over an hour away and I have only been in once for about 15 minutes.

I did see on-line that there is a "Scrap Your Trip" store located near Universal. Since I am looking for some Asian themed paper and embellishments, I thought I would definitely visit them. I had planned to order on-line from them anyway, so might as well check it out.

Also thought I would check out the Hobby Lobby that is a little further North. It looks to me like they carry Tim Holtz stuff, and I would love to find some things not available in my area, maybe different Distress Stain colors and maybe reinkers.

Are there any other stores I need to be sure and check out while I am there? I will have the full day and a car at my disposal to get around.

Great, I'm going to google them and find out where they are located. Thanks for the tip.

An FYI - I was looking for Washi paper (Japanese rice paper) for an Asian theme, and found some in Mitsugoshi in Epcot. I also purchased some very beautifully patterned origami papers - which they have in several sizes. Now I need to figure out if they are acid free, etc. but I don't think I will be matting my pictures directly on this paper, so it should be fine.

There is a nice scrapbook store next to the Florida Mall. It isn't in the actual Florida Mall, but in a small strip mall next to the large mall. It is in the same area as the Target store.

It is my favorite scrapbook store in Orlando. It is called Scrappy Boutique.

The other scrapbook store isn't "Piggy Tales" it's Pik Tails - in the Towne Center at Hunter's Creek on the John Young.

They carry a smattering of a lot of things including Kaisercraft and Quickkutz.

Mousememories is near old Kissimmee of 192. They carry primarily theme park, college and Faith based themes in a 'warehouse' setting. They'll pack it "to go" very nicely.

bumping up this thread to see if any of these stores are still open? I think Piktails closed. Anyone know about Scrap your trip or Mouse memories?

Not sure about Mouse Memories but I know Scrap Your Trip is still in business (I get emails from them all the time - check out their website). They are an online business but I know I have contacted them in the past when we were visiting WDW and I was able to pick up my order instead of having it shipped. They also gave us a tour and we met some of the staff/designers but this was a few years ago. They are located in an industrial park near Universal Studios. I would contact them to see if they are open to the public - I know when we were there, it was not set up so customers could browse and purchase items.
